What are the most annoying AC complaints you've heard?

The most annoying complaint I've heard about AC... is probably that people who hack AC and sell those hacked items for real money are bad people.

I just gotta say this; we all have to do things we have to do to make money. Like, be grateful they're not doing anything dangerous, like selling drugs or anything else like that. :v

It really gets on my nerves because everyone is human, we all make mistakes. The people who hack Animal Crossing and sell those items for real money aren't exactly bad people; just very desperate to make a living. Just like the rest of us ;w;

Wow I've never heard of anyone selling hacked (or any kind of AC item) for real money. I mean, the amiibo cards I understand but in game items? The people buying it must be equally desperate I guess?

I see hacked towns as just being a piece of artwork. I love those beautiful screenshots of hacked towns, and I definitely don’t see it as “cheating”. I personally like playing the game authentically and find non-hacked towns far more impressive simply due to the time inverstment required, but hacking towns seems like a lot of fun and allows for so much expression, idk how anyone can be mad about that.

I don't really have any issue with hackers unless they somehow ruin my gaming experience (not talking about those who just wanna make a pretty town and feel the need to hack to get there - I mean, even I will appreciate a nicely done hacked town). Although, it's hard to make a case for hackers when I hear so many stories of regular players getting messed with on CT or getting hacked hybrids and weren't notified beforehand etcetc. The fact is that hacking your console, like Blue Cup said, means breaking the game code or whatever. And regular players have a right to voice their concerns about interacting with them. I feel like if a non-hacker(but a time traveller) and a hacker were to debate what's actually cheating, the non-hacker wins by default just for that reason that you are messing with your console itself. At least time travel is a feature that is acknowledged within the game by Nintendo (eg. your villagers acknowledging that you are a time traveller).

Anyways, I usually don't mind the hackers in general because they don't affect me, but I do find it annoying when hackers complain that they ruined their game/console by a mistake they made by hacking. There's probably little to no town corruptions due to time travelling (mostly happens when you turn your game off wrong or drop it etc.) but a simple hacking mistake is a sure way to ruin a game. Of course, they can just hack to get it all back I guess lmao idk how it works -_-;

When someone complain about of why you have these "ugly" villagers in your town and not pick any of
the "cute/popular" villagers. Like oh, excuse me, that I'm not the 24779th town out there which has the
same 10 villagers I see in almost every dream town I visited via Dream Suite. The game has 300+ villagers
to offer, stop telling which villagers I should have in my town just because "oh, popularity". If I want to
have these "ugly" villagers in my town, then I want them in my town.

Wait, do hacked flowers not breed or something?

One of my friends one time went on a long and angry rant about the beginning of the Gamecube Animal Crossing, that he felt the beginning section where you work for Tom Nook for a bit, is the worst thing ever in game design.

-Some people who never played Animal Crossing before asked me about it and said it seemed pointless and boring. It?s meant to be relaxing. Not every game needs to be hardcore. It?s good to have a game to chill to.
-Also, time traveling as said by... pretty much everyone here. I?ve been time traveling from the very beginning which was when I first Gamecube when I was like 7 years old. I didn?t want to wait a day for new stuff to appear in the store. It was just too boring. Also, if I am in the mood to be in a certain time of day/season then I travel to that time. I usually like June/July the most.
-Working for Tom Nook... which is understandable to get annoyed by, but it IS just a way for new players to learn the basics. It doesn?t really take all that long either.
-A bit annoyed by the new grass concept but also people who care a lot about their grass. I?ve had an old mutual who?d obsess with every acre of grass in his town and like I never ran either and yet he was always worried I?d destroy certain spots. He sounded like my neighbor lol
-People who got annoyed by my constant town restarts. I actually drove someone nuts over the amount of times I restarted, he was all ?WHAT YOU RESTARTED AGAIN???? XD

Literally people complaining about how other people they don't even know should play.
If people want to hack then okay, if they want to time travel okay. Everyone has a different way of having fun and hacking can be fun.
Some people don't have the time and motivation to landscape their whole town by hand and they prefer to use save editors. Some people don't want to wait whole days to "continue playing" and so they time travel. As long as it doesn't concern you or harm anyone then why even complain about it. Just play your game as you wish and let others do the same.

I don't really have a comment one way or the other for Animal Crossing. I don't hack, but I see hacking as innocent in this game. Hacking only really is a problem for games that have multiplayer competitive elements. Animal Crossing doesn't.

I do get annoyed when people complain about TTing. People don't always TT just to get things faster. I personally TT sometimes because I don't always have the time to play every day. I am usually busy during some of the major in-game holidays and if I don't TT, I will always miss them. Not all Animal Crossing players have tons of free time.

I've never seen it with Animal Crossing, but I've absolutely seen it in the Pokemon community. Because of the competitive aspect of Pokemon, and also because of how many limited event Pokemon there are, it happens all the time.

When people write it off as boring before playing it for more than 3 days. I get it, the game is very slow at first, but picks up pretty quickly. Always leaving new things to unlock until you're totally hooked. The first day is usually pretty devoid of things to do on the first day and people complain that money is too hard to come by. We all know this changes drastically.
