What Are You Happy About Today?

Today I'm happy the site is running smoother. I tried working some reports and things last night, but it was so slow I gave up. So glad Jeremy found the root of the problem!

I have an appointment set up with an insurance agent on Friday. My mom and brother both lost their Medicaid coverage in Sept so it's been rough going with their doctor bills piling up. I was trying to find something for them myself, but became too overwhelmed by it all. I really hope this person will be able to help me get them fully covered again.

Speaking of appointments, I have massage therapy tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. Last week, she tried cupping on me to see if it would help. Cupping is the ancient technique where cups are placed on your back and suction is applied. I was really surprised by the results. I have regained so much range of motion in my neck and shoulders. The difference was immediate and significant.

I miss reading your posts in this thread! One thing that always stood out to me is when you mention sightings of various animals, most notably Mortimer the bat. May I ask, is Mrs. Potter still appearing from time to time?

I've missed reading everyone else's posts too! Hopefully life will calm down for me soon. I've been way too busy lately.

No, I haven't seen Ms. Potter or any of the rabbits in some time now. I'm certain they couldn't all have disappeared, so they must be keeping to themselves for now.

Today I had fun playing Among Us! I love the bat beanie; it looks like a cat . Me and @Xara were twinning in the same overalls tonight and I think @/Saylor was also wearing them too! I love the Plague Doctor mask; it makes me think of my plague doctor squishable.

I’m really excited about the prices of the collectibles being announced tonight. I’m optimistic that I’ll be able to get most if not all of the collectibles that I want [the most]. Still going to keep my fingers crossed just in case though .

I got Mitzi to move out today and I found Hornsby. I don’t have his Amiibo card yet and I’ve been interested in him for a long time so I’m really excited to have him now . Now I hope I can get Julia to move soon so I can go island hopping again soon.

I got a bargain bin cookbook for $4 titled Retro Recipes from the '50s and '60s. It has a recipe for magic tomato soup cupcakes, chocolate mayonnaise cake, knickerbocker glory, and watergate salad.

What happened yesterday:
- I ate some food at a Turkish restaurant with my mom that tasted good, especially the chicken wrap and falafels.
- Bought some art supplies.
- Watched The Super Mario Bros Movie on Netflix and it was good, even though the voice acting for Mario could've been better. Can't wait for the sequel with Yoshi and hopefully, Daisy will make an appearance in that film.
- Ate some key lime cheesecake with my mom for dessert.

What happened today:
- I had a good day at uni and read a book at the library on campus.
- Had a relaxing day playing video games.

- The new headphones I ordered arrived yesterday, and I'm happy they work (I get through headphones fast, probably bc I sleep in them a lot )

- The weather has been pretty nice these past 2 days, finally sunny, though still cold...

• The screen protectors I got for my laptop came today, they're really cool. Matte/anti glare and blue light blocking. I'm happy with them. I put one on my current laptop. I'm buying a new laptop next September and will use the other one on that one when I replace my current laptop.
• I slept amazingly well, I really needed it too because I was really struggling with my mental health yesterday
• Went grocery shopping today, got everything on my list, plus a pumpkin log dessert thing
• My friend stopped by for a minute to chat today, it was nice to see her
• Thoroughly enjoying having Netflix again. Watching Supernatural, The Witcher, Pokemon Horizons, and Naruto
• Gonna spend some time this evening gaming

This week has been really good! I got to talk to some friends over the past couple days and slept well last night. Had some delicious food this week as well, and have had fun continuing my Pokemon Insurgence Soul Link Randomizer Nuzlocke with my friend. I also finished a task at work today that was assigned to me by my senior. Glad it's also October now as well, got to start thinking about birthday gifts for someone in my family.... hoping everyone has a great end to their week!

I made my mother a root beer float. She complimented it and called it beautiful.

It hurts her to stand and walk right now, so I've (tried) to help out where applicable. Although last time I messed up by not adding enough ice cream to the beverage. Her reaction this time was the complete opposite as she actually liked it, and that was nice to hear.

☾ I finished a couple of WIP sketches I’ve had in my sketchbook for… a while now lol. Still a ways off from finishing them completely, but I think I’m almost ready to retire this sketchbook for good! Also got to work on some personal creative projects a little bit too!

Today has been a great day. Had an early short shift at work and was productive. Went to my cousins daughters volleyball game . They are in the playoffs. It was an exciting game . They did end up winning. They lost the first set but had almost came back. They won the next two sets . So another playoff game next week. So proud of her and her teammates. She was so happy we came to see her.
I finally finished one of the drawings I have been working on and plan on posting it sometime tomorrow. It was a nice relaxing evening of drawing.

- In the process of doing some last minute packing for my trip! ^_^ I'm STILL trying to figure out how to pack my crochet bag with all my yarn, and stuff that I carry in my purse. I'm only allowed 2 personal items, if I wanted more I'd get charged a fee... TT I need my bag for snacks/food, my purse, and my crochet bag.. >< I'm still really excited for my vacation though :3

- I made sausage gravy and biscuits for dinner today! ALL BY MYSELF?! My dad said mine turned out better than his when he makes it! I was so proud and happy ;w;

- My TBT Fair mail-pack came in today! Oblivia wrote the sweetest heartfelt letter ;w; Kinda made me cry! Well, I DID cry, lol. Tears of joy though, of course!

- Attempting to make chicken coasters for my besties parents. However, I wanted to make homage to their home country. They came from Portugal, so I wanted to make the coasters inspired off of Galo de Barcelos! (the black rooster with all the cutesy designs on its body).. I don't think I can embroider all the designs on it in time, so I'm just going to make it a black chicken with maybe a tiny heart applique on it! It makes me happy that they let me stay with them for free, so it's the least I could do for them T^T

- My boyfriend will be back soon! However, I'll be gone when he gets back >< It makes me happy though that he'll be home again.. I can't wait to see him though.

- Listening to my ult k-pop group (Red Velvet). They make me so happy.. T^T I love my girls!! Seulgi is my ult bias out of any group, I literally just can't get over how gorg she is!!

Today I'm happy because it wasn't raining and the sun was out. It feels like forever since we've had a calm, beautiful day. I also know I'm lucky to have not been impacted by Hurricane Helene other than the massive amount of rain. I hope all of you are safe and sound.

Regarding the hurricane, I had some reward points built up at work so I used them to make a donation to the Red Cross to help those who were affected.

I had a really great session with my massage therapist today. I had one spot that was bothering me all week and she worked out the kinks. I feel so much better.

i get to be a coach for our district math competition again! this year it actually feels like i’m in charge of it for my site and i’m pretty proud of myself!! i got a flyer done and made some forms and other things for it and i’m super excited to start in a couple weeks

also this morning my principal got me a nice, new big chair! so much more comfortable and a lot sturdier than my old one!

I survived 4 hours of uni lectures yesterday, did 2 hours of additional study and now Im up at 7:30 in the morning to browse TBT do more studying! I've recently looked into what it would take for me to go straight into a PhD program after my degree and I want to use this year at uni to try and demonstrate that Im capable of such a big challenge. I can do anything if I just try hard enough, even skipping a masters and going straight for a doctorate.
