I got paid today! I picked up my copy of Mario & Luigi Brothership! I got the duo key chain, and managed to take the price down by almost half with rewards.

It's also cooled down today, thank goodness. I did some more exercising today since I was sick in bed this week. I also had a pretty good session with my therapist, much better than last time. I finished my day by making chicken salad that should get me through lunch the next 3 days.

• Feel free to skip this point. One day, I was making a trip to the grocery store. While finding a parking spot which was packed in the first place, I was VERY surprised to spot a first-generation Acura NSX thanks to its distinct taillights! I couldn't believe it considering how a lot of people in the area are uh, reckless at driving. The owner of the NSX is pretty daring to park their car in a full lot. However, I wouldn't consider this an addition to my identified cars list since it's identical to the Honda NSX I saw back in mid-June. Aside from the badge (Acura is the luxury brand of Honda for those who don't know), they're the exact same car.

• A weird point, but my fridge broke down one day which resulted in me having to throw out the food since they've gone bad. As a person who doesn't like wasting food, it made me REALLY sad. Despite that, I looked up potential problems and the symptoms it may have (I heard clicking noises). After spending most of the morning watching videos and a bit of diagnosing, it turns out the start relay to turn on the compressor went bad. It wasn't until a few days later that the part arrived, so when my dad put in the new part, the fridge finally started working again! Never have I been so happy to feel my fridge blowing cold air again and hearing the compressor running lol. Waaaaaaay better spending $14 (plus tax) for a part than spending at least $1,600 for a brand new fridge!

• One of my coworkers played a compilation of Japanese city pop music in the background a few times at work and it's such a vibe. It gives me the same feeling of finding a gold mine of good music like when I was listening to Japanese jazz fusion music a couple of years ago. Not entirely sure if it's against the forum rules on here to link songs that aren't in English, but oh my goodness definitely do give Plastic Love by Mariya Takeuchi and Stay With Me by Miki Matsubara a listen. Makes me wanna drive in quiet city streets at night.

• I bought DLC for Ace Combat 7 - Skies Unknown which contained three planes and three missions. Long story short, I enjoyed what it had to offer even with a huge spike in challenge despite being in normal difficulty (my gosh, how will I manage on Ace difficulty lol).

• The trailer was initially revealed over a month ago, but I was pleasantly surprised that there will be another Wallace & Gromit movie releasing early next year! I really liked the older films such as The Wrong Trousers, so I wonder what Feathers McGraw will be up to.

• I've been getting around to using Inkscape again to make some decals to put on a couple of cars in Gran Turismo 7! It's been a while since I last made a livery in the game and it always makes me happy.

Since the McLaren F1 GTR exists in the game, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to recreate the livery. It took me quite a while to not only get the decals right, but also flow along the body lines of the car. And it's not very often that the colour pink gets used, so I absolutely dig the design.

• It's from yesterday, but it still made me happy I had a really good chat with @Midoriya. Definitely a based friend for the past six years hahaha.
• I have the day off today. Since my schedule was switched up this week, I actually have another day off tomorrow meaning I get to relax even more without having to stress waking up very early.
• Even though I didn't go somewhere today, it felt pretty nice looking out the window seeing clear sunny skies.
• I folded some laundry.
• I watched the race replay of the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix! The rainy weather made for an interesting race with some drivers making errors and crashing out (with Max Verstappen finally getting a win since June lol). I was pleasantly surprised that Alpine got two of their cars on the podium considering they had a really poor showing this season. Seeing smiles all around from that team makes me happy even though I don't really cheer them on.
• Prepped ingredients for my mother so she can cook Chicken Stir Fry. This goes on without saying, but it's delicious like usual!
• Played Gran Turismo 7 and finished recreating yet another Hotwheels livery. The catch is, I don't personally have it, but @xSuperMario64x (Bug) does!

What's amazing is that it combines two things that Bug really likes: Super Mario and classic Volkswagens! I've had to painstakingly trace the official artwork of Super Mario World in Inkscape since there weren't any user generated decals for it, but the effort was well worth it and very satisfying! His reference photos helped a lot!

The other side had a different artwork, so I traced that too lol.

Who will win the staring contest?

• I had a really good chat with Bug as well, especially since he got around to playing Gran Turismo 3 again! One of the highlights was that he golded one of the licence tests... On his first try... With my dream car that was used for that test! I'll have to watch my back or else I'd be done for lol.

• I'll have to take a closer look next time, but happy 20th birthday, TBT! I'll definitely try to participate in this mini event whenever I can. It's an important milestone to celebrate considering forums in general are slowly dying or straight up disappearing on the internet.
• Feel free to skip this lengthy point. While it initially happened over a couple of weeks ago, I wanted to save this point for last. Guys, I got some good news... After roughly three and a half years of spotting cars since mid 2021, I'm happy to report that I spotted my 250th unique car to add to the list while heading home from work one day (it's not European shockingly). And what a wonderful way to mark this milestone because it so happens to appear in the North American box cover of Gran Turismo 3... The game that truly kickstarted my passion for cars. That car in question is an Acura 3.2 CL Type S! After being baited by Acura 3.2 TLs numerous times (especially their taillights), I got a couple of real life pictures to back it up!

I got an angle from the front and here's a side by side comparison of the real 3.2 CL Type S (left) and the one in game. Apparently, the Sundace Gold colour scheme you see here is pretty rare with only 900 existing according to a couple of sources, so not only was I treated with this Acura, but the amazing colour as well! Since it's one of the many cars in the series that's never seen the light of day being remastered in modern graphics, it's quite jarring to see some of the details being textures and/or pixelated to the oblivion lol. But mind you, Gran Turismo 3 came out in 2001, so the huge leap in graphics were impressive for its time! Credit goes to Bug for the in-game photo!

It first caught my attention when I saw the back of this car. The red 'S' is one thing, but its taillights is another. I gasped and almost wanted to tear up when I got closer. In the game cover, it's colour blue and has a rear wing but is the exact same car aside from that. Again, take a good look at the taillights!

For people who still have doubts that it's the cover car of the game, the physical game manual (remember when they used to do that?) has a credits section where the devs thanked Honda for being able to use the Acura 3.2 CL Type S. Again, credit goes to Bug for the photo.

Soo happy i have today off work and tomorrow only doing a 5 hour shift Yesterday was kind of tough so i needed it

Went grocery shopping this morning and got a lot of stuff i'd been meaning to buy, including a new lamp because my old one died
I also got a lot of nice snacks and an advent calendar (the most fancy one they had, obviously )

Got home and did a 20 min hiit workout. So a pretty productive morning, now im happy i can relax all day lmao

• I walked to a local used bookstore today and bought 2 Barnes and Nobles classics in perfect condition. Grimm’s Fairy Tales and Pride and Prejudice. Got them both for $6.48 total all together including tax. Really happy with them.
• I also stopped by the library downtown and sat at one of their little nooks and sketched a bit. Was nice to get out of the house for a bit. Been going a bit stir crazy being inside too much. I’m gonna go again tomorrow
• Slept really good last night. Mustachio woke me up this morning and she’s been really playful.
• The weather is nice and cool plus breezy and bright and sunny and the autumn leaves are all blowing around.
• Got all my seasonal warm drinks today. Coffees, cocoa, seasonal teas. So I’m all set for the chilly season
• I also got 4 premade pie crusts. I’m making 4 pies next month for Christmas. I’m making a chess pie, an egg custard pie, a peanut butter pie, and a a chocolate chip pie. Super excited. I love baking especially this time of year. It’s so calming, fun and therapeutic. I’m giving half of each pie to my sister.

☾ I had two compliments on my they/them pronoun pin. It’s refreshing, especially being in Florida right after the disappointing results of the recent election. Granted, it was at Disney World inside of a Starbucks, but still nice to hear.
☾ I found Stitch and I had to go meet him again. I saw him earlier at the Ohana breakfast where he snuck up behind me and hugged me from behind. It made my day.

Today's been a fantastic end to the week! Yesterday I chatted with my favorite friend and voice called for a bit to play some games with them, and we're about to watch some anime together. I also got paid today and work went well. I ALSO pulled Rina m2 in Zenless Zone Zero with less than 10 pity, which means I'm guaranteed for future Miyabi!

The Dallas Mavericks are also playing the Phoenix Suns at home right now. No matter the outcome, it should be a great game!

Despite having a migraine, I had a decent day.

• Went to bed early last night, like I should be due to my meds lol. I also woke up early! That made me happy ^^ I've been getting into a better sleep schedule the past month.
• Got McDonalds for dinner tonight. Once again their Dr Pepper is out, for the third week in a row TT It was still good, though. I've been drinking a lot of water lately, so the Dr Pepper being out again doesn't really bother me, lol. (Although me drinking tons of water out of nowhere concerns both of my parents.. they think I'm diabetic ;; so guess who has to get a full bloodwork panel done)
• Got to talk on the phone a lot with my bf today c: I love when he calls me while he's at work!
• Gonna play some Genshin tonight! I'm still really happy about my Nahida pull. Even though it was at 82 pity, it was a Capturing Radiance pull, which was BASED!!!
• After I do some Genshin stuffs, I think I'll watch more of MASHLE ^^ I'm so excited to continue! I also need to finish AoT... -.- I watched like 7 episodes last year then dipped LMAOOO so I guess it's time to give it another shot.

we were pretty short staffed today so the mall/store seemed extra hectic OTL
thankfully all of my customers were really sweet and nice today so i enjoyed a lot of my conversations with them (*°▽°*)

i really liked the lunch i packed and was glad i was actually able to take both my breaks this time - we’ve been pretty busy so i haven’t been able to take my second breaks the past two days

☾ I got a little creative with cooking today! Breakfast was not planned (I was just gonna have a can of potatoes akjghfjsg, but accidentally opened a can of diced potatoes instead) but really good—I drained the diced potatoes and tossed them in olive oil, salt, garlic, and oregano before baking them and it was actually super good And for lunch/dinner I made some lemon/garlic/butter pasta with a green bell pepper, green olives, and some vegetarian chicken strips which was also really good!! v happy with my meals today

I'm trying to focus on the positives, so here are a few things that made me happy the past few days.

- I was playing Endless Ocean: Luminous and found a teeny tiny Megalodon. It was such a baby!
- Yesterday I was able to go back to massage therapy for the first time in a month. Not being able to do my regular stretches and exercises has me feeling very stiff and sore, but I felt much better afterwards.
- I've continued to walk regularly and the weather's been very good for it. It's still really warm here. Plus seeing all the animals makes me really happy.

I had a really fun Among Us session again; they’re always so much fun. I especially had a lot of fun being imposter with @.: Meri :. I always have so much good laughs with everyone .

Today when I took a bath, I caught Jewels again dozing off on the side of the bath tub. At one point her leg was dangling pretty close to the water . She was so cute . Spanky has been sleeping in her ramen basket again; it makes me so happy to see her use it and when she rests her head on the side.

Earlier Jewels wanted some snuggles; she didn’t stay long at all but I still enjoyed her snuggles and hearing her purr .

I really was happy to see the canvas crossing drawings on the top of the page. I really thought that was a nice surprise and added a nice touch to the page .

My partner came back from her week-long vacation with her parents. She had plans this evening with work friends, but it was good to catch up with her for a few hours. And we have all day together tomorrow.

We have plans of finally decorating the remaining two rooms in our house: the guest bedroom and the study. So to get this project started, I decided to surprise her by getting the study (more like junk room) gutted and cleaned while she was gone - including the cupboard space. She was so happy!

And I'm happy to finally have use of my desk! It has been used as an ironing pile since the day it was built.
