What Are You Happy About Today?

My mood still hasn’t picked up yet but I have a few things to post about; will post again later if I there are more things that made me happy .

My sister got a recipe to make grave leaves from a neighbor who is Egyptian and just sent some over that she made for us. About a week ago she shared some of the food that the woman gave her (she gave my sister a lot) with us. The food was so delicious. The woman recently lost a baby; my sister has been talking to her and it led up to a dinner invitation. I thought that it was nice of my sister to reach out to her and nice of the woman to share food and a recipe with my sister. The grape leaves were so delicious!

I had enough gems to pull on a banner in OPTC and I got who I wanted.

Sadly the game still hasn’t improved by adding more content of the modes that everyone has been asking for, for about two years and continues to go downhill, so no idea if I’ll ever get back to playing regularly.

I got some snuggles from Spanky earlier . I love my girls so much.

In Persona 5, I unlocked Kichijoji! I’m excited because I like this area a lot. Also, unlocking more areas is going to help me with my second island since I want to decorate it based on different locations in the game as the Persona 5 dream address that I found had. I don’t remember seeing Kichijoji in it though; the address might have been before P5R royal came out. I’m still excited about my plans for my second island, while also a bit nervous too since this is a very ambitious project .

I finally have a day off where I don’t need to do anything so just went out for lunch, did some grocery shopping, and drawing on my iPad while listening to an audio book ^^ it’s been a relaxing day

☾ My parents and I caught up on the anime and some of the Youtube videos we missed over the weekend!! We watched another episode of Hunter x Hunter and Demon Slayer, started season three of Haikyu, and then watched LDShadowLady’s newest Wild Life episode and some other short videos!

☾ I received the finished piece from my art trade with Oldcatlady and I absolutely love it!! Gonna wait until I finish my half before I upload it to my TH, but it was such a cool surprise to log onto ;w;

☾ There’s gonna be an ACNH hide and seek session on my birthday, and I’ll get to host on my island!! The way the past few months have been I’m a little paranoid something will come up asjklsflksd, but I know that's probably irrational and I really hope it all works out, and the gesture means a ton to me in any case!!

Had an overall really great day! Work went well and I had my favorite coffee drink. Then I talked with my best friend for awhile while playing some games. The Dallas Stars also just SMOKED the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh 7-1, so love to see that. Didn't have to go to martial arts either because of the holiday, which is always a win xD. Fed my kitty her favorite food and now I'm just having a chill evening.

I made pumpkin soup that used simmered pumpkin chunks with garlic, onions, carrots, celery. potatoes, and salmon. It was really good! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a really good creamy soup.

☾ I have front row tickets next month to see the Los Angeles Kings. I'm right by the visitors locker room, so here's hoping I can high-five the players or at least get to interact with some of the players like last year. I love seeing this team each year even if it's always away!
☾ I just came back from vacation at Disney World. I only spent a few hours each day at the parks; I was more interested in relaxation at the resort. I had a fun week, mostly meeting characters. I think my favorite interactions this year were Stitch and Donald Duck.
☾ I volunteered to work the day before my vacation started. I felt bad that there were only two people scheduled that day in the restaurant. My shifts are up around ten hours each day, so having to work one of those when my flight left at 8:00 AM the following morning was tiring. I did get my schedule for next week, though. I have tomorrow off, in addition to the weekend. It all works out. This week is very generous to me.

I just found out today that my boyfriend is going to propose to me before christmas

I am literally so happy I cannot wait to wear my engagement ring every day and call him my fiancee and I REALLY can't wait for the day I get to call him my husband.

I never had a desire to get married until being with him. He is literally my best friend, my soul mate, he is everything to me. We are inseparable and I wouldn't want it any other way.

We've only been together for almost 10 months but I now understand the quote "when you know you know" *in lana del rays voice*

I been knowing I'm gonna marry him since a month into our relationship.

i’m happy i was able to be productive today! i went to bed pretty late last night but i woke up surprisingly not exhausted this morning. i powered through the day and avoided taking any naps so now i’m hoping i can also get a decent sleep tonight.

also had an extra day of cuddles with my doggos today and i’m looking forward to a 4-day schoolweek

I forgot to mention a few happy things from yesterday.

The friend we visited has a lot of rescue cats and they're all super friendly. I've never seen cats that want this much attention and don't swipe at me for trying to pet them. They love it, so I got lots of kitty pets in yesterday!

Also, the Minnesota Vikings won again, even though it wasn't pretty. They're still second in the division with a good chance of making the playoffs!

Today I'm happy because I just saw that season 3 of Beastars will be coming to Netflix next month. I can't wait!

Christmas is kinda a difficult holiday for me, but seeing this makes me look forward to it a little . I need to finish making my list for my mom .

I think I found a drawing stylus that I might ask for Christmas. I’m going to see if I can get the procreate app too.

Jewels keeps baking biscuits on her bed; I’m glad she’s using her bed and not just stealing Spanky’s .

I wish I could share the live picture of this since you can’t see her kneading her paws on the bed.

I traded for some items that I needed in AC earlier.

My mood is a bit better than it was earlier .

Yesterday I got back into playing let's go eevee, as a coworker also has some pokemon games and I'm excited to see if we will battle, trade stuff we don't have.
Don't have let's go on my phone tho XD

My ginger cat who usually held herself up in this small box is now out and sitting in the armchair. We were worried but think she's alright. She's changed a lot after her brothers passed.

It's payday! I got a pay rise and seven months backpay.

I decided to treat myself by picking up a bottle of wine and a steak on my way home. Looking forward to dinner. Going to serve it rare with buttered onions, garlic, mushrooms, and bell peppers.

Extended my kittens insurance policy and got another free month. Can't complain at that!

Sent a photo of Sebastian's injuries to the vet and she seems pleased with his recovery.

Small thing that I’m happy about right now:

My copy of Mario Party just arrived today! . I’m playing it against the computer right now and I’m enjoying it so far . I love that Monty Mole still does the belly drum animation; it’s so cute .

It’s weird that it won’t let me use the pro controller for the motion controll mini games though, since I thought we could in super stars?

I wasn't expecting much out of today, but today was honestly really great. I was productive at work and was able to get out early. Talked with my best friend for hours on end and I appreciate them so much, I can't put it into words. Then I talked with another friend while playing video games for a bit.

The thing that made my day the most, however, was receiving a signed letter from the actor/martial artist who played Raphael in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles years ago. When I was around 10-12 years old Raphael as a character was one of my greatest inspirations for getting into martial arts in the first place, and to have received this from him all these years later when I'm still practicing martial arts really made me emotional as I wasn't expecting it.

I stepped outside after this for a bit and noticed more of our neighbors have their Christmas lights up, and it honestly took my breath away and reminded me of simpler times with my mom and other family years ago. Today truly was a special day for me, and I'll cherish it forever. < 3

what I like about "mysterious" and "lost" songs is that you sometimes find hidden gems that you can listen to. I'm glad the internet existed because of things like this.

On the topic of this thread, I'm just happy that I've been continuing working on my second island and making progress in artworks. Also happy that I get to talk to @Dunquixote as always!

☾ I played a little ACNH today and worked on trying to get Rod’s photo! He’s being stubborn with it despite having maxed friendship, but hopefully I can at least get it before hosting hide and seek!!

☾ I got myself the Pokémon TCG Diamond Clan set as my birthday present for myself, and it got here today!! It’s still a little early, but I let myself go ahead and open it anyway since I was feeling up to it ;v; I mainly wanted it for the art of Adaman/the card frame with him and his Leafeon, but it came with a few packs of cards too!
I’ve never opened any packs before (I just buy individual cards secondhand since I’m only in it for the artwork + am only ever after a very specific few), and I got some ones I’m really happy with! The biggest highlights for me were definitely regular art Friends in Hisui (which I wound up using for the frame! full art would’ve been like super ideal but I wasn’t quite that lucky/didn’t want to take my English copy out of its album), Adaman, and Colress’s Experiment! ;v; I also got some cards of Magneton and Wyrdeer which I thought were nice too! I really like the silver border that the Japanese standard art cards have!

☾ Watched some Youtube videos with my family this evening, and we started on GeminiTay’s fourth episode of Wild Life!
