My brave little men were neutered today. My boss thankfully let me have the day off work to deal with it, as I only found out yesterday that this was happening so soon. The day had a rocky start (we were over 30 mins late for drop-off) but they had the procedure done, came around quickly from the anaesthesia, and since coming home have spent 4hrs asleep on my lap. ️
The wounds look neat and clean and the nurses took excellent care of them. Very regular updates (first just as I was unlocking my front door!), fed them the food I brought in instead of theirs (Delta has a sensitive tum), and also kenneled them together without me asking them to (Delta gets distressed when he can't get to Sebastian).
Also, we were so busy chatting I forgot to pay my bill and they forgot to ask for it. I realised as the taxi turned onto the street. I pointed it out and asked if I could call them in 20 minutes and pay over the phone, and thankfully they trusted me to do that. They then helped me get the boys settled in the taxi. Paid it as soon as I got home and let them out their carriers!
I'm home alone with them tonight, so after a high stress/worry day it's time for a glass of wine, junk TV, and hopefully more kitten cuddles.
EDIT: oh, and their "I'm sorry" gift arrived today - a cat tree!
