What Are You Happy About Today?

Posting for yesterday because our power went out early in the evening and didn't come back until almost 4am 😭 So for starters, I'm so glad our power finally came back! I could barely sleep at all last night, and the estimated fix time was 7am (after two delays lol) so I'm just... really glad it didn't take that long or I don't think I'd be functioning right now.

☾ I got another achievement in Minecraft, and also found a stronghold!! Thankfully it isn't actually terribly far away from my base, but it is far enough away that I think I can get the On a Rail achievement by making a rail to it, so I'm gonna go for that next.
☾ I actually tried to play a little more right before the power went out—and I'm very glad I'd just made a backup copy of the world, because when I checked later my main file was corrupted. 😅 So thankfully I didn't even lose that much progress! I swear PS4 Minecraft is like playing with fire sometimes
☾ I worked on one of my requests some more!
☾ Got to watch some stuff with my mom for a couple hours!
☾ I caught up on a couple days on my ACNH island! Wisp appeared once and gave me a pretty neat new item too. (y)
☾ And I went outside for a bit last night! The moon wasn't even full and yet it was super bright out there; it didn't even feel like it was as late as it was. Without the streetlights on or anything, it was just really quiet and pretty. There was a nice cool breeze too.
 
➣ My favorite person in the universe being absolutely perfect.
➣ I deleted my Snapchat last night and I’m finally free of all social media.
➣ One of my toxic friends told me that my favorite person “told her everything” which I’m assuming includes things I’ve told her in confidentiality. I didn’t think for a second that was true and defended her immediately. I guess that shows how much I trust her and it makes me happy, because I haven’t had that level of trust with anyone before.
➣ Hockey talk for those unaware, but I’m happy about Los Angeles Kings, Jonathan Quick, finally being traded. It was a move that needed to be done, in my opinion.
➣ I’ve snapped a better picture of my Croconaw wall graphic during daytime hours so y’all can witness it’s true beauty. It’s 35 inches by 47 inches in total, so it’s quite big.

GOOD FOR YOU! I got off of Facebook almost a year ago and minimized my use of Reddit to only when I need to find information about something. It's extremely freeing. Social media is so toxic and leeches your time and energy for essentially nothing. I've been able to redirect some of that extra time towards keeping in touch (much more deeply) with the people I care about via calls and texts instead of it just being about vapid status updates.

On topic: I'm happy today because I'm off work tomorrow. My husband and I started our Platinum journey last night and will probably be playing most of tonight too. We go on a big hike every Sunday, and I'm looking forward to that since I spend all of my week stuck in an office.

Nice! I really should do that with Twitter. I don't really browse the place, but I do go there to check in and message some online friends. Wish they'd just use discord or something instead.

Going to watch Loki with my sister later tonight. I heard it's pretty good as far as the Marvel series goes. So I guess we will see.

Also I have off tomorrow so I am thinking I might play some Xenoblade 3 or just chill and play some New Horizon before bed.
 
This past week since I don't remember since I posted last:
-Had a lot of fun with my friends from orchestra. We have played together a lot recently and I feel like I made some core memories with them. I'm starting to feel more confident about hanging out with them!! ^^ 🎻
-I finished my research paper for good yesterday at 4 am 😅 no more worrying about it though! 📄
-I earned an award from my workplace for working hard today😊
-yesterday I finally had the time at the end of the day to play all of the AC games in order (save WW which I don't have) not ACNH though bc I got rly tired and I had to go to bed
-chick fil a today after work!
-all in all, I'm just proud of my accomplishments this week :D

🏠 I'm home -- home home, for a week, with my parents. This means a clean & cozy house, delicious home-cooked food, restaurants & movie-watching, and, of course, my lovely parents. I am so happy to see them!

🍳 Had a delicious breakfast out with my family.

🍎 Had an impromptu job interview today and I think it went pretty well!

🧳 I'm going to visit my partner tomorrow and I'm so excited to see them!!!

🎁 My mom got me cool presents from her overseas trip. And she got a present for my partner, which was sweet of her.

🏆 The results of the New Year, New Horizons contest were posted today, and it's really nice to see the community's response to this lovely event.

🍃 I'm mostly done flattening my island, which is truly a L A B O R but will be so worth it in the end. Gonna throw on a horror podcast and get 'er done tonight.

🍝 I'm eating lasagna right now. I might have some cookie butter ice cream. Or maybe some homemade boba. Life's pretty good.
 
Reporting back in for today!

☾ I found some new art of some of my comfort characters!
☾ Watched an episode of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Fairy Tail this morning!
☾ Got some more work done on the request I've been working on, and I think it's almost finished! ^^
☾ I played through a few more days in Rune Factory 5! There's a typhoon coming and I was not prepared, but it's been pretty merciful and taken longer than I thought it would. I'm hoping I'll be lucky enough to get to harvest a few more crops before it comes in. 🤞
☾ My family and I watched the first episode of Grian's Limited Life series! We've all really enjoyed all of his other Life series thus far, so I'm very excited to see how this one's gonna play out.
☾ And I've finished another rubber band bracelet! Going to try and make one more before bed, and I think that should completely fill up this bag of them!
 
-Went to the county fair with my family.

-Although the weather was windy, it wasn’t enough to stop the ferris wheel. I got to ride it with my neice and dad.

-I got to consume two of the food that I’ve been craving for months now. They were boba and esquites.

-Today was also kind of a test to see how well Dad’s hands are healing. He seems to be improving.
 
Today I'm happy because:

- I slept well last night and got to sleep in this morning.
- I had a peaceful but productive day at home.
- I cleaned a few areas in the bathroom.
- I played some Tetris and Lonesome Village.
- I spent some quality time with my husband and my dog.
- I really enjoyed my shower again this evening.
- I don't have to work tomorrow so I get to sleep in again.

♡ I made poutine in cooking class on Tuesday! It was super easy to make and delicious. 🍟🥣

♡ Been playing AC:NH lately and got a lot of things done! I'm super happy that I've been getting some much-wanted DIYs, including the pan flute and some mermaid furniture! 🧜‍♀️

♡ Found a few more System of a Down songs I like! I've been listening to quite a bit of them, but some of my new favorites include Bounce, Sugar, Cigaro, and Chic 'N' Stu! 🎵

♡ Worked on a few drawings, both for my art challenge and some sketches! Can't wait to start the final versions. 🎨

Friday, March 3rd (yesterday)
I had a great day at school! Since it was the last day before March break, we got to do activities and enjoy ourselves. One of my friends brought their Wii U and we chilled in the drama room, since their mom is the drama teacher. I brought my Wii Remotes and we played Mario Kart 8, Nintendo Land, and Donkey Kong Country Returns! 🎮
We did a 1-hour pottery class later on and I made the Triforce (from The Legend of Zelda), we're gonna get our pieces in a few weeks! 🏺 Then we ordered pizza and ate while watching Scream (the first one from 1996), and I actually kinda liked the movie! 🍕🎦
We played some more Wii U and went home. My step-mom bought donuts, so that was a nice surprise! 🍩 I mostly chilled for the rest of the day with AC:NH. ^^

Saturday, March 4th (today)
I didn't do much, but it's my first full day of March break so I just enjoyed myself! I watched some YouTube with Poofesure's videos (recent ones I missed and some of his older Wii Sports content) and Linkus7's second part to his Zelda OoT/MM randomizer video! Then I watched a bit of South Park (still on season 16, I didn't have much time during the week) and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs with my brother! It's one of my favorite movies of all time and we both enjoyed it a ton. I also read some fanfics and played AC:NH, so overall I had a good day. :)

I have this old giant plastic pot from a tree we got a few years ago, I found 21 earthworms under some soggy leaves and stuck them in the pot :)
Hopefully they will live. There's leaves and sticks at the bottom and top soil on top.
I'm making brownies and a casserole.
I've been in less pain. (One of my kinds of pain has been gone for a few weeks now)
A friend said he has a ton of composted critter poo that he wants gone... So, we plan on getting some. Perhaps we will get a garden bed going later after all. If we have this mountain of compost, it's gotta go somewhere.
 
☾ There wasn't a new One Piece episode this week, so instead we all watched a couple more episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Fairy Tail! We're almost at the end of the Fairy Tail Zero storyline too. 😭
☾ I took some tbt out of my savings to buy a few flowers from the Shop today!
☾ Finished @/Roxxy's art request!
☾ I helped my mom make some pancakes for lunch! It's been ages since we've had them and I've been craving some recently. There's a bit of batter left over too, so tomorrow's breakfast should be covered as well.
☾ Got a little more organizing done on my embroidery floss!
☾ Saw Grian's latest Hermitcraft video this evening, and it was a lot of fun! It's great to see Mumbo back on the server, even if we don't generally keep up with his episodes.
☾ And I played Rune Factory 5 for a while and got first place in the Buddy Battle contest!! Wasn't expecting that at all since I've barely done anything with monster taming thus far, but I'm certainly not complaining. 😆 Made it through the typhoon okay too—lost a couple good crops, but nothing I can't replace, and most of the stuff I was worried about survived. Also I didn't feel like reloading ahaha
