What Are You Happy About Today?

- celebrated a wonderful birthday with friends and family a few days ago. ate lots of good food and spent lots of time outside!
- the weather has been so warm?? like honestly too warm for me but thankfully in the coming days it'll drop back down to a more comfortable 10-15 C. I do enjoy the sunshine though! been waking up at the crack of dawn these days to enjoy jogs/walks as the sun comes up. it's an ethereal experience - so quiet and serene and feels like I have the world all to myself
- learned that I have a bit of extra time to decide whether or not to commit to something big - good for my indecisive self lol
- been enjoying familiarizing myself with the medium of watercolour. I initially disliked it because it feels like you have so little control but there's something therapeutic about letting the natural qualities of the paint steer the direction of the piece. bought a few more winsor and newton tubes and am excited to maybe try my hand at plein airpril!
- almost finished breath of the wild after playing through it incredibly slowly for 4ish years! definitely bittersweet and going to miss experiencing this incredible game for the first time but super excited for tears of the kingdom!

Every now and again happies do happen to me but I forget to share them (or sometimes am too lazy to just post lol) but here are some things that have made me happy recently:

• Finished a lot of art that I'm really happy with. With every project I feel like I improve more and more
• The weather has gotten warmer in my area, feels almost like summer! It's nice because the yard and the trees are getting their nice lovely shade of green back again, little by little as the days go by, after a long cold winter
• When I went out and about to take care of some errands I noticed so many dandelions growing all over the neighborhood, it's so wonderful seeing Mother Nature do her thing
• I spotted a wild rabbit in someone's yard munching on the grass, they're so cute!
• Discovered some new music that I really like, I listen to it every chance I get, especially on strolls
• Been eating my favorite foods and drinking my favorite drinks, that always make me happy
• Had a really fun time during this year's Easter Egg hunt! I'm so super stoked we finally have a frog collectible and a collectible based on an anime that isn't Pokémon! (and no, imo the Animal Crossing movie doesn't count lmao) Sailor Moon has always been and still is a cherished favorite of mine, watched it all the time on Toonami lol it was my whole life growing up
• My submission for the 2023 Egg Decorating Contest was accepted! I suck immensely at arts and crafts so I like to keep it simple and just have fun with it
• Been binging Zelda games, currently on Phantom Hourglass, next is Spirit Tracks. They're even more underrated than the Oracles games
• Just happy in general for some of my forum peeps

I finally modified my WiiU to play Animal Crossing GameCube!

Population Growing has ALWAYS been my favourite Animal Crossing Game, but after about a decade of handheld ac games, I struggled to wanna play on a television with a controller. Now I get the best of both worlds, and I get to play my favourite game in my favourite way, on a little tiny screen

had a busy, busy day today. i am so sleepy. but happy friday, friends! i hope you all have a lovely weekend; make sure to take care of yourselves and do at least one thing that makes you feel good <3

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ it’s finally friday! this week has been absolutely draining for me, and i’m back to being super busy lol, so i’m really grateful that the weekend’s here i’m not gonna be able to relax much over it, but at least i don’t have to go to school lol

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ i had yet another decent day at school! i managed to drag myself to all 3 of my classes, and i got started on an assignment for one of them! i’m way too tired to finish working on it tonight, but i’m proud of the progress i’ve made on it

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ i received my mark back for another assignment i completed last week, and i got 95/100 marks on it!!! for some reason with this class, i always think every assignment i hand in is the absolute worst thing i’ve ever submitted in my life, and then i’m so shocked when my mark doesn’t reflect that LOL

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ my mom took me out after school! we went shopping first, and then she took us to get milkshakes! i got a banana one, and it was delicious!

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ i picked up all of the supplies i need for my egg decorating entry, so i can finally get to work on it tomorrow! it’s definitely a bit of a last-minute entry haha, but i’m excited; i honestly haven’t painted anything in like… 10 years lol, so it’ll be fun :’)

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ chopped up some carrots and took them out for the rabbits that like to roam around the area! my mom and i also brought out some nuts for the squirrels ^^

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ read some more new fanfics that i enjoyed! reading has honestly been one of the only things keeping me sane this week

☾ I was able to make a little more progress on my current art request!
☾ Also played a fair amount of Pokémon HeartGold today! Caught the 26 main forms of Unown (I loved those little slidey puzzles ;w; ), caught Lapras in Union Cave, and made my way to Olivine City.
☾ My parents and I watched Grian's newest episode of Limited Life this evening! It was incredible in so many ways ahahahah

Today I'm happy because:

- I got my unicorn mount in FFXIV last night!
- I had a calm and easy day at work. I cleared out a lot of emails. I'm down to single digits again!
- I got some laundry done and can now confirm that the new sump pump is working as it should.
- My dog was very good every time I went downstairs today. He's also so sweet and cute. I love him so much!
- I found a very full caterpillar nest in one of the trees in my backyard. It was so cool watching this mass of caterpillars moving around in there.
- It's Friday and I'm done with work for the week. Looking forward to getting some much needed rest this weekend.

★ earlier today my friend came over w her baby and we got to hang out for a bit, she also came over again later in the day by herself so we could do stuff without worrying abt her baby getting into everything haha
(we've been watching the show The Prince and it's so god awful it's kinda hilarious, like I know it's a really bad satire of the royal family but it's like funny bc of how awful it is)

★ spent my evening playing Tomodachi Collection, as of late it's been bringing me a great deal of joy
I also played the return challenge in Wii Sports Resort, I not only beat my high score of 97 but I managed to get 171!! and ofc I smacked Greg a few more times oops--

★ also got to talk to @/Shellzilla_515 this evening and he listened to me rave about Tomodachi Collection and my assortment of zany and possibly horrifying miis for probably over an hour. ofc we talked abt other things but it's still great to be able to talk abt my current interests and be heard (as well as reciprocate it!)

★ last night I got a new dragon in Flight Rising, I was inspired to look for him after I saw a really colorful dragon posted in this week's theme week thread. he's all blue/teal but he has the soap tertiary gene in magenta, which gives him the nice pink tint. I love him so much haha, named him BlueRazz!

★ I was finally able to get in contact w the disability office again today to make a few adjustments to my claims as well as confirm something, so I'm relieved abt that since it's been worrying me for like a week and a half now.

★ took the doggo to the vet today and he's doing better but still acting a little funky. if it continues I'll have to contact them again. but he was a little stressed while we were there so on our way home I got us some ice cream
the vet bill was also not nearly as much as I was expecting it to be, so that's a relief!

★ I've been practicing gratefulness a lot recently, and I've also been very mindful about my shame since I tend to feel it in areas of my life where it's really not necessary. I have some stuff to unlearn regarding shame but I'm doing better!

★ also I have 119 subs on my yt channel now!! I've gained like 20 in only a few days, my channel is actually growing at a crazy rate atm haha. I'm working on a new avatar for my channel and I have plans to record a new video tomorrow or Sunday

omg this is so cool!! I have a sewing machine myself but I think there's something wrong w it bc it gets jammed every time I try to use it. nonetheless, hopefully you get some good use out of it and make cool stuff!

My cousin is in Australia for a month and he said he will catch me the regional pokemon on pokemon Go and then trade me them when I see him next.

- Had a great day compared to yesterday, where it was raining hard constantly and I had to go shopping for miscellaneous holiday items. Today was bright, sunny, and relaxing I'm pleased everything is sorted out, I just need to pack now

- Checked into our flights early, and I'm happy it all went smooth and I got my mobile boarding passes + seats. PLUS I have a really good randomly selected window seat on my flight to Tokyo

- Got a lot of stuff yesterday, including a book for the plane (Snow Country by Yasunari Kawabata) and some snacks for my flights (protein bar and some veggie crisps), so I feel a little more prepared

-I've been getting back into pixel art again, and WOW have I improved a lot since I did commissions in the past, it's almost embarrassing to call those old ones mine, but I am so happy with my progress
-I was super worried about the grade I would get on my coding project since I struggled to understand any of it, and just submitted the broken code, but the teacher was very lenient with me on my grade, and actually reached out to help me, which I appreciated
-I had SO much fun building and making my egg for the contest, and seeing all those eggies make me super egg-sited to vote!
-Since my hyper-fixations cause me to only want to do things related to it,,it can be very detrimental close to finals (like it is rn) but I have discovered that throwing on the soundtrack to whatever it is at the moment, actually helps me work! and I'm so glad I can get things done again

Just a few small things that I want to mention.

➣ I confided in my favorite person, of course. I told her some things and I don’t recall saying that any of it was confidential, but when my dad asked her what I was upset about she didn’t tell him and instead said I was having issues connecting to WiFi. It’s the little things like this why I trust her. She didn’t know it was something I wanted kept between us but she just knew and didn’t say anything. She didn’t even tell me he was bugging her. I found out because my dad asked me if I was having WiFi problems because “that’s what she told him.” At that moment, I couldn’t help but smile because she has yet to betray my trust and I don’t believe she will. ♡
She had an early day at work today and we talked for a good ten/twenty minutes before she left. To stand there talking with her, with her arm around me was the one bright spot of my morning. I notice that whenever I start tensing up she’ll pull me even closer and sometimes stroke her fingers on my waist.
➣ I don’t have any closes on my schedule next week, and I’m ecstatic about it. Today is also going way better than I imagined, and I may even get out early due to how slow it’s been. I picked up three closing shifts at my second job next week, as well, so I’m still working a good 40 hours! This is exactly how I imagined, and I’m happy about it.
➣ My dad got me a diffuser because I’ve always wanted one, and it’s a dinosaur. It reminds me of Yoshi. He got me two scents, both of which smell amazing.

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ went on a walk with my dad this morning! we honestly haven’t gone on a walk together since pre-pandemic, so it was nice to do so. it was a bit too hot out for me today (i can’t stand warm/hot temps lol), but i still had a nice time!

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ began working on my egg decorating entry! i had to scrap my first egg since i screwed up lol, but i’m back on track with attempt #2 now and should have my egg ready to go in time for the deadline tomorrow! i haven’t painted in a very long time, so it’s definitely not the smoothest work, but i’m having fun! it feels nice to be artistic, since i haven’t done that in a while either :’)

ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ saw a bunny and a skunk roaming around my apartment building! i didn’t get any pics of them since i saw them from my window and i live on the 6th floor haha, but they were so cute <33

Today I'm happy because:

- I slept deeply when I did go to bed and got to sleep in this morning.
- I spent some time this afternoon relaxing, playing games, and watching TV.
- Later in the day we went back to the lake to visit my niece and nephews. We had a great time with them again!
- I saw saw geese on the lake and a bird feeding its babies in a nest on the deck of the vacation house.
- I took a moment to just stand on the deck with my arm around my husband and enjoy the view.
- The weather was very nice, partly cloudy and warm.
- I'm looking forward to sleeping in again and then resting all day tomorrow.

☆ I SLAYED my tests and quiz on Friday! I had a Math quiz and got a 100%, I had a Science TEST and got a 100%, and a Social Studies TEST which I got a 96% on! I have been studying so hard and I feel so accomplished that my hard-work is paying off
☆ I get to visit my PoPo tomorrow! She is cooking Salmon, Rice, and Bok-choy! I love seeing her so much and it makes me so happy that I get to spend time with her and remember it since she is getting older! (PoPo is Chinese grandma)
☆ I played some New Leaf today and finished my rainbow garden! I have been growing LOTS of roses and trying to get different colors so that I can finish this and it looks great!
☆ I got the CATALOG MANIAC badge recently and have been so proud! I dont really need to get the full catalog since I have all the regional DLC THANK YOU SO MUCH @/LIZ! but I still want to try!
☆ I watched some Glee on Disney+ and like I know its kind of mature but like... I LOVE IT IN A WAY??? LOL IDK ITS SO FUNNY Mercedes and Quinn supremacy
☆ I relaxed alot today and read a few more chapters in my book! This is a little kids book but I love it so mcuh since its a little narrative about a bunny family! Its surprisingly long though! Its called Crest Watercress by Gregory Maguire.
☆ I ate fried rice today.... it made me happy
☆ I played outside today and got a LOT of exercise and did some jumprope, now that I am taller its been 4 years since i played jumprope I would hope I am taller its so much easier to use!
☆ I listened to my FAVORITE GIRLS FIFTH HARMONY while I did my Math homework and it put me into a good mood. I dont know if this is the nerd in me but that math packet is surprisingly.... relaxing when you learn the formulas! Its easy stuff now since we are doing Cones, Pi, Spheres, and Cylinders. I am so glad the final unit of the year is the easiest!

I defeated Chuck and got the Storm Badge, caught the last Pokémon I wanted for my dream team (welcome to the party Misdreavus!!), and now I'm just working on getting my team's levels up before taking on Jasmine in Olivine City. and desperately trying to grow more Oran Berries so I can cure this dang moomoo cow

I've gained like 9 new subscribers since last night and now my Dii Party has 3.1k views???? and videos I uploaded less than a week ago already have hundreds of views??? like what is happening???

2. I need to make a PSA and say once again that @/Shellzilla_515 is an absolutely terrific friend and I'm so grateful to have him in my life
