What are you hoping to see on Valentine's day?

I really like food items, so I am hoping for some fancy chocolates. I know it's less likely, but aflower-covered pergola would be amazing.
Valentine's Day was never much of an event in previous games (though I always loved it for the items). I hope it has cute items that aren't a hassle to get, and that they don't go crazy on the heart motif.

I don't have any particular expectations for valentine's day because I think if they did do anything for it it wouldn't be too big, but I think it'd be the perfect time to introduce Brewster again. other than that maybe a cute seasonal thing in the nook catalogue? new plants etc would be nice but I can't see much being done for it

but hey ! Im all in for updates and for new anything hehehe so bring it on, although, after Toy day? I feel that Valentines which is not a minor holiday however is much smaller than Christmas at least for me will thus not receive much love, detail or attention like other holidays it will probably be something we can do in 3 minutes lol. I know many of the users here are bored to here many of us cry cry about Brewster but if they bring Brewster this will probably be Thebes update hahaha at least for me. I would not even mind having Valentines to be an extremely small insignificant even as long as my old Brewster comes back and is full on , super detailed and new features ( thats how much i miss him )

I'd like something a bit bigger (like crafting chocolates or crafting with chocolate), but it'll probably be the usual heart-shaped chocolate from Isabelle/highest friendship villager in the post. Maybe if they're feeling mean we'll have to order it ourselves from the seasonal bit of the Nook shopping

As some promises had been made, related to events, I may believe it could be related to VD.
I must admit, food items are adorable, beautiful - interaction are strictly limited and we can only admire them, nothing else, what in my opinion should be fixed asap.
But... however enthusiastic you are, I'm trying to refer to official advertisement shows Pavé character and this update meant to be at some point in January (late). If this character is "promised" we may expect "Festivale" event or something similar, and as no Brewster character been promised, I wouldn't expect his present whatsoever.
If new update will be released late January 2021, I wouldn't expect any VD related update in short time period, so VD will may never existing, or it may be a part of January update, but as no other character is advertised, I may expected "Festivale" merged with VD, or just one event, called differently.
Whoever is not familiar with this event, may read a bit, what has happened in previous versions:

Maybe you are not wrong... we just have a brief information about time of update and character, and everything else is just prediction.

Valentine's Day will probably be fairly low-key in-game, which is what I hope for anyway. I'd be happy if we saw some emphasis on sending/receiving letters with the introduction of a special gift item (flower arrangement/plant, box of chocolate, etc.).
If Brewster did appear with a little stand outside of Resident Services where you could pick up hot cocoa to go - that would also be amazing. Nothing beats sipping a warm beverage during the chilly season with those you love.

Animal crossing has never really done much for Valentine's day that I can remember. Did we get a carnation? I would love it if they brought those back to Horizons.
Everyone posted so many great ideas. I would love to get a new furniture set. It would be great if they made a big event, and a new npc running the event would be fun too.

Honestly? I would be nice to get some new items including some from New Leaf. It would be the best time to bring back the illuminated heart since its still winter in February as well as Valentines.
I'd like to be able to either make or buy chocolates or cake from Nook's to give to the villagers like you could in NL and your favourties could get the ultimate candy which will go towards maybe getting their pictures quicker.

i would love some cute, USABLE furniture! the turkey day stuff was so perfect, and i would love another furniture set that we can use all year. (although i wouldn’t say no to a crazy retro-looking heart-shaped bed!) as for the even itself, i’m not sure. festivale is clearly supposed to be the main holiday this season, so i don’t think we’ll get anything too huge for valentine’s day, but hopefully it’ll be more than “talk to isabelle in the plaza and move on with the rest of your day”.
