What are your favorite new features so far?

I love the new gardening abilities like making paths, and the ability to put furniture outside! Also being able to choose your skin tone is a HUGE step forward, and stupidly long overdue.

I'm a sucker for the really small, fine details. So I really like the idea of being able to set it to Southern Hemisphere season! This is probably the first game I have ever played (yeah I haven't played many games lol) that I can play in Southern Hemisphere seasons so I'm instantly going to set the seasons to SH! I like the fact that items that fall out of trees (like wood or fruit) can fall in tiles that aren't directly adjacent to the tree. That was just a clunky mechanism, and thank god it's gone. Same goes for automated stacking of items, just a small thing that will be really helpful!

I kinda like the whole crafting thing because it gives me more to do in the game.

Just me? Then how about Harvest Moon? Stardew Valley? I'm quite at a loss.... But I really love that image. It creates that you can do so much more for your town.

I already replied earlier, but I saw this image again in another reply, and noticed the fences. Maybe it's a bit odd, but the idea of being able to place custom fences makes me so excited!
But also, this image is definitely gorgeous, and it makes me so happy.
