What are your fixations?

Drums, though that's been for the past several years.

I'm also really fixated on the idea of getting into bass (electric bass guitar). Between drumming and dabbling in regular guitar in the past, I do know what I'm getting myself into at least. I've got money saved up for it. I'm just waiting for Black Friday/Cyber Monday to see if any deals crop up from any of the major music stores in hopes of spending a little less money.

I'm fixating on a Roblox game about getting a snack at 4 am. I fixate on the most random things sometimes.

A certain user in the forums got me into Metallica, and now I enjoy listening to most of their songs up to "The Black Album". I don't consider myself a metalhead, but there's something about them... something...
Okay, that was only one of them lol. I also tend to switch between Pokémon, crocheting, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, TBT itself, Sumikko Gurashi, PaRappa the Rapper, etc. I love Pokémon and crocheting (it's becoming a long-term thing already lol), while I still enjoy everything else but not as intensely as before. This includes Metallica.

As of January 2025, my current fixation is the book series Dog Man, which I got from the same user I mentioned in the post I quoted. XD

For awhile now my fixations have been ACNH , Pokemon Violet and occasionally drawing. Right now I am also fixated on this new coloring app on my phone.

Hm, currently it's been the Oscars because the nominations came out, and I have a list of movies I have to watch, even though there's some I don't want too see. But I want to have an opinion. But I'm excited The Substance is in there.

A bit of a few indie horrors due to them being relsed, and trailers coming out. A few I'm excited for.

Tokyo Revengers, I'm still wadding my way through all the books and I have quite a long ways to go, plus a side story. But I'm a huge fan of it.

I’ve been learning about cults lately. (Don’t judge me lol.) Aside from the darker aspects, some of them have some wild ideas.

The founder of Raelism claims aliens descended from the sky and spoke to him in French (reminded me of that scene in Kung Pow lol) then took him to another planet where he met Jesus, Moses, Buddha, and Muhammad. Now…I could go on, but if someone told me they went to another planet and met Jesus…I would have thought they had a near-death experience.

The group also claimed to have created the first human clone, a baby named Eve, but this didn’t really happen. They’re also very into human cloning, with their own organization called Clonaid.

Then, on the other side of the coin, you have Ervil LeBaron. Better buckle up for that one!

I find cults interesting because of how the leaders convince people to believe some strange things and partake in bizarre, dangerous rituals. It also makes you wonder how desperate the members are, when you see how these “leaders” prey on them. It’s also interesting to think there are many we don’t know about, that we have yet to uncover.

I have been fixating in the Batman fandom since I was a very very small child :)

Animals and Pokémon have been my top two special interests/hyperfixations since childhood. I'm also very into Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley and Silent Hill, but I feel like these come and go. Lately I'm glued to The Last of Us. I love learning about video games lore, especially when there are zombies involved. Tell me all about the stages of infection, how it spreads, what's the science behind it. I want to know everything. ૮ `⎚⩊⎚´ ა

I've been collecting Barbie dolls for years and have a decent sized collection and tons of useless trivia facts I could give anyone haha

rn Karl Heisenberg. Despite the horrors we stay silly.

They come and go a lot more than they used to. I was on Skylanders for like a decade but the fandom was messed up and it fizzled out
