What Did You Accomplish On Your Island Today?

So... yeah, I fell behind on posting again. I mean, I'm sure it's not a surprise by now to anyone who frequents this thread, but still. 😅
Work on the Boardwalk (which I've finally begun, hallelujah) has turned into a total island design overhaul, complete with relocating multiple villagers' houses, transplanting tons of greenery, and doing a LOT of landscaping. That being said, I'm easily getting distracted when it comes to my records, not just because I'm a sloth at heart.
I'll post my missing records in parts so we don't end up with a post the size of a CVS Pharmacy receipt 🤣 that being said, here's part one:


7/12
• Isabelle mentioned that Flick was visiting today; I brought him all the scorpions and beetles I had managed to collect along the way, and sold them to him for a very generous sum.
• Chatted with Buck, who I found just chillin' in his backyard. Also chatted with everyone else I ran into.
• Dug up the gyroid fragment from yesterday; retrieved a Boioingoid!
• Rhonda ask for help catching a wharf roach...but I admittedly kinda forgot 😓 and when I remembered, I got frustrated that one wouldn't spawn, and eventually gave up...
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster.
• Returned to work on my Island redesign; proceeded to make stops around the island and open up the room sketch app to brainstorm area ideas. Came up with one I really liked for Gayle's yard, and I'm looking forwards to putting it together.
• Ordered some things off of the Nook Shopping app.
• Deposited a LOT of bells into savings.

7/13
• Isabelle mentioned that Label was here today; passed her Formal Fashion Challenge with flying colors, received a Labelle hat in thanks.
• Raced over to the Able Sisters to check out stock before closing time, got bitten by a mosquito on my way there... (At the time I'd originally written this, I'd been suffering from the effects of 9 egregious bug bites; despite that I know now that they weren't from mosquitoes, I found the coincidence ironically funny)
• Took all my orders from yesterday out of the mail, put them into storage, and promptly ordered some more.
• Chatted with Buck (making mushroom potage ), along with everyone else I ran into.
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster, got to see Tom Nook swing by.
• Returned to working on my Island blueprint, figured out how to make a smaller version of the butterfly pond I've been seeing online; I'm hoping to utilize it somewhere. It'll probably end up going in the cemetary; once I renovate it, I think it will look nice.

(Day lost to Splatoon, although I did get more done on my island layout. Managed to build a small neighborhood towards the western shore that I didn't automatically hate 👍)
 
friday, july 21
- dom moved in today! i relocated his house the day prior.
- invited megan to the campsite -- i'm going to replace alli with her. megan gave me a diy for the natural square table. she gave me a rain hat in exchange.
- cleaned up some of my flower mess in one area. i've let my flowers explode every time it rained to the point where i have almost no free space anywhere. it's a work in progress.
- started adding layers around the island to create some nice visual effects along my (work in progress) paths.
- rio gave me the recipe for orange pound cake.
- bought a coffee from the roost -- this was my 50th visit, finally.
 
21/07
- time travelled around a bit, moved out cheri and cyrano (i got him fairly recently but i changed my mind about his vibe), and invited merengue and shino to aldertree!
- cleared up excess flowers from all the time travelling and placed transparent tiles in a few places for fewer flowers next time !
- replaced some green mums with a few orange hybrids by the river behind hornsby and quinn's houses
- gave a black thread-worn sweater to cherry, an aqua simple parka to rowan, and a green aran-knit sweater to leopold
- visited harv's island and bought a scary painting
- visited the roost for coffee
- donated a proper painting to blathers
- visited cherry, and sly was also visitingg
- got a mum's wand DIY card from celeste + wished on shooting stars
- caught + donated a horned hercules and golden stag to blathers

  • Weirdly, from trees, today I got a Kettle and Simple Kettle.
  • Billy gave me a Firewood DIY.
  • Beach DIY was a Golden Decorative Plate.
  • Octavian had a flea today!
  • Niko gave me concrete island and pillar DIYs.
  • Fashion went up from 66% to 67%.
  • Tops went up from 73% to 75%.
  • Dress-Up went up from 48% to 49%.
  • Accessories went up from 84% to 86%.
  • Shoes went up from 87% to 88%.

  • Rushed day because I'm going to RenFest really soon today.
  • Got DAL Cap.
  • Daily DIY from beach was the Honeycomb Wall.
  • Donated a Familiar Statue! It went right in the entry to the Art Wing. Finally, it's not completely empty there.
  • HHP Island gave me the Rocking Horse DIY.
  • Niko gave me DIYs for Brick Counters and Pillars.
  • Managed to squeeze in a Bug-Off event today, thank goodness.
  • Redd sold me a Proper Painting!
  • Picked all crops, fruits, and flowers.

22/07:
- Invited Bob to the last available plot on my island w3
- Caught most of my missing critters for the month of July (I still need to catch the palm trees night beetles, as well as the walking stick, 2 sea fish and 2 pond fish.)
- Planted a bunch of palm trees and white flowers (for said night beetles and orchid mantis)
- Participated in the bug off until I got the shirt (around 120 points)
- "Donated" my first fake art piece to blathers 😫
 
23/07

- caught an orchid mantis for bones + gave him a mod parka. got a paisley bandana + tuna-sushi costume(???) in return. gave a deer scare to rowan, sought out cherry and gave her a black biker jacket
- dug up a bendoid, fossils, destroyed rocks and picked up tree branches
- crafted a zen style stone, deer scares and terrarium. customised a few things depending on my homies' nookea's
- sold unwanted stuff at the drop off box
- spoke to all the homies
- gave wrapped fruit to merengue
- updated my dream address
- visited brewster for coffee and spoke to merengue c:
- claimed a nook miles achievement for DIY furniture (crafted 200 pieces)
- gonna catch a walking stick later for blathers !
- jammed to k.k. lovers with cherry

- Caught my walking stick and my ocean sunfish ! Only 3 fish needed to complete my critterpedia for July.
- Grabbed some palm trees from islands in hopes to get some palm tree night beetles.
- Asked Nook to expand my room
- Sold some unwanted stuff in my storage, and placed some stuff I liked around the island
- Welcomed Bob on the island as a neighbor !

  • HHP Island gave me the Paw-Print Doorplate DIY.
  • This is the first day in a while I'm getting no new Tops from Able Sisters.
  • Fashion went up to 68% from 67%, bottoms went up to 70% from 69%, and accessories went up to 88% from 86%. Dress-Up, the last individual category of fashion has finally hit 50%, up from 49%.
  • Housewares went up to 68% from 67%.
  • Got tier 4 of the Set Sail for Adventure achievement.
  • Got a Coconut Pancakes DIY.

7/15 (started raining @ 2pm)
• Isabelle happily announced that Slider was back in town...however, seeing as I decided to play earlier today, I did not get the opportunity to attend the show.
• Received two tailor's tickets in the mail from Label.
• Took out my purchases from the night before and placed them into storage.
• Chatted with everyone I ran into; found Buck hanging out in Kitty's yard.
• Dug up a Boioingoid and a Stelloid; it must have rained yesterday.
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster. Got to order with pigeon milk today!
• Stocked up on a few more customization kits.
• Made a few more orders on Nook shopping.

• There was a visitor at the campsite today: Anchovy the Bird.
• Isabelle had an announcement to make; July's Bug-Off was coming up on Saturday. Since I hadn't seen a notice on the board yet, I assume it must've been posted yesterday when I wasn't playing.
• Today's HHA S-rank puts us at 232,373 points, the same as last week.
• Found Gullivarrr passed out on the beach; it took me a little bit to find his phone, but it turned out to not be too far from shoreline.
• Dug up a Flutteroid and Drummoid that had popped up from the rain on Saturday.
• Chatted with everyone I ran into; visited Buck at his house (taking a cheat day, by the looks of things). He warned me that Rhonda was sick, so I made sure to swing by the store and get her some medicine.
• Dound a lost bag outside Pekoe's place. After thoroughly examining it, I was able to bring it directly to its owner: Patty. She was pretty thrilled to have it back.
• Took all my purchases from the day before (which I had taken out of the the mail earlier and then promptly forgot about their existence) and put them into storage.
• Visited the Roost and ordered a cup from Brewster. Accidentally drank my beverage while it was still scalding hot (I gotta stop mindlessly pressing buttons). Got to see Kapp'n stop by!
• Began gathering up some more resources for my island redesign overhaul, and took pictures of every important place I could think of in the area so that I would have proper references to use as I reorganize everything..
• Also began moving some flowers around in preparation for the design overhaul, and ended up catching three Emperor butterflies in the process.
• Had a random visit from Pekoe while I was putting things away; received an Orange and got to spend some time together on the couch watching tv.
• Speaking of the island blueprint, I have finished redesigning the cemetary. l'm hoping to have it finalized and put together before my family and I go up to see my grandfather in August.

- gave a go board to rowan, a black loft bed with desk to bones, a black zen style stone to cherry, and a beige clothes closet to leopold
- got a DIY workbench card from cherry
- sold unwanted stuff at the drop off box
- bought wrapping paper at nook's cranny
- gave wrapped fruit to merengue
- visited the roost for coffee
- hit up redd's boat and bought a wistful painting
- picked up some weeds and tree branches
- placed transparent tiles and dirt paths. destroyed a lil' bit of cliff next to merengue's house and set up an incline
- donated a walking stick, scarab beetle and giant stag to blathers
- spoke to all the homies, got a nook miles achievement for island togetherness. saw that bones and filbert were having a convo (quiz about sayings) and i thought i'd have unlocked some funky dialogue by clicking the food-related answer but was not the case D:

  • Tops increased from 75% to 76%. Dress-Up increased from 50% to 51%. Headwear increased from 52% to 53%. Socks went up from 62% to 63%.
  • Boat tour gave me the Woven-Vines Hat DIY, which is new!
  • Ordered a new set of DIYs for TBT bells.

  • Beach had a Golden Bathtub DIY.
  • Got another 30 DIYs from Liz's shop, and got the third Host the Most Nook Miles achievement! I was at 84% DIYs learned prior to this

  • Annoyingly, after purchasing Able Sisters stuff, no amount cataloged increased.
  • REDD HAD A FLOWERY PAINTING ON HIS BOAT AND THAT'S 100% LEGITIMATE. I'm so happy, everything else he had, I already had.
 
I didn't do a lot today but I did manage to terraform and decorate my entrance a wee bit!

- gave rowan a hyacinth lamp, he also told me that merengue was sick so i brought her some medicine
- bought extra medicine from nook's
- gave a dried bamboo deer scare to shino, a black fortune telling set to cherry, a black monstera to bones and a sturdy sewing box leopold. got a diner apron + tee dress amongst other things in return
- hornsby visited my house!! when i interacted with his photo by my bed, he questioned if he was being watched- but he gave me another photo after heh
- visited the campsite, unfortunately a pig villager was staying inside
- dug up unwanted flowers + picked up tree branches and sold them at the drop off box. hit rocks + destroyed one of them
- donated a wistful painting to blathers
- visited harv's island and bought a serene painting from redd
- got a pear rug DIY card from sly, and brought him a gift from rowan
- changed outfit to go do the personal preferences task at harv's island, and bones gave me some rubber toe sneakers 😌

- Went to Harv's island / plaza for the first time and donated a bit to a lloid
- Caught a ranchu goldfish - I'm done with all fish for the month except the coelacanth
- Cleaned up the various objects I laid on the ground as my home storage got bigger
- Donated a painting that Tybalt gave me to the museum (nice)
- Planted some yellow hibiscus
- Started watering flowers to grow black hybrids.
- Bought a pergola (at last !)
 
This morning on Cosa Bella island:

  • Cleaned out my mailbox
  • Opened all my shopping
  • Watered the plants around my home
  • Water the gardens around the island
  • Harvested my crops and sold them at nooks cranny
  • Replanted new crops
  • Visited Harvey’s island to look at the little markets
  • Went to visit Ed my favourite
 
It's been a while since I last played the game, so I was welcomed by weeds and bedhair. I tried to ask Leif for a weeding services but he said my island is not eligible. So I had to do it on my own.

But other than that, I just did my entries that require Harv's Island for the Space Camp today.
 
Dug up lots of flowers! It was my first time back after a long time of not playing, and my gosh those things multiply when unchecked
