What did you cook or bake today?

Last night I made a roast vege frittata that I originally planned to use as my meals at work, but it was so good that my family and I ate most of it lol

French Toast Coffee Cake with the sourdough I bought at the Farmer’s Market and some honeycomb candy!

Made cinnamon french toast the first time today following this recipe, it was yummy but I only got two toasts out of it.. could have gotten three but I messed up one of the toasts

nevertheless I am excited to make more, probably tomorrow

Today I made a croque monseiur!
Croque monseiur is a ham and cheese sandwich, toasted with gruyere and glazed (read:covered) in bechamel sauce.
I usually hate ham, so I've been trying to find a way to make it that I like. It was actually REALLY tasty!

Today I made... a crockpot chicken dish with my father! It reminds me of beef-tips over egg noodles, as it was served over egg noodles. It's like a creamy shredded chicken with bacon, cheese, and sour cream... mm. It was really good! It was nice and delicious~ not to mention an easy filling dish! All we did was put in the ingredients and watch it cook in the crockpot as we did our daily chores~ Crockpot dishes are so fun to make!

Chicken fried rice.
Husband made some fresh batches of chili oil so we'll be set for awhile. <3

Today I baked a dorset apple cake! Had a bunch of giant cooking apples to use up so I figured I might as well, not sure I'm happy with the way it turned out though,,,it did taste nice I guess.

Vegan bbq ribs. I’ve never had ribs from an animal before.
Chickpea scramble tacos.
Crack pie

I decided to bake a cake after binging some of Rosanna Pansino's videos. I didn't have any normal flour and not enough butter so I scoured the internet for recipes without butter and also using coconut flour instead. I mixed 3 different recipes together and it actually turned out great!

I made quiche with spinach, bacon and cheese. It turned out pretty good considering that I've never made it before. As an experiment I made one with real eggs and one with egg substitute and surprisingly the one with the egg substitute was just about as good as the one made with real eggs. The main difference was the texture.....the egg substitute quiche was lighter and not as dense.

I baked some mixed spice chocolate biscuits today! Apparently they're very chocolate-y and have a hint of coconut in them. I had them with my coffee!

An orange creamsicle cake for my dad's birthday! And when I say "orange," hoo boy, it was VERY orange like he wanted lol. The filling was a pudding+heavy cream+orange extract mix that was probably my favorite part of the whole thing.
