Just wondering. Allergies are pretty bad here lately what with global warming, the wind, and the pollen flying around... I?m not sick per say, but I find myself sneezing a couple times every day (I need to take medicine for it).
When I was younger though I never really got sick except a couple times spread far apart. Once when I had a cold, I would have chicken noodle soup. I think another time I had a fever for once in my life and just remember sleeping a lot and drinking as much water as possible.
So, what do you eat/drink when you?re sick? Any memories you?re fond of/not so fond of?
I am allergic to animal hair. My nose gets all stuffed up, and my eyes get somewhat itchy. I usually use the avoid method, and go outside for about twenty minutes. I also wash my hands frequently when I’m petting the animals. For some reason, the allergies are more evident with cats than with dogs. I also prefer dogs by a landslide, so I guess it works out!
To answer your question, I drink orange juice. I’m not a fan of apple juice. My favorite kind of orange juice is Tropicana! For food, I prefer chicken noodle or vegetable soup! The broth really helps. I’m not too fond of water except for when it is... *drum roll* tap water. Yes, you are looking at the weirdo that prefers tap water to bottled water. It isn’t too weird, is it?
Sleeping does help for me, as well. It kind of defeats the purpose if the animals are in the apartment with me. I usually rely on the juice and the broth from the soup to help.
I rarely get sick, so when I do, I really do. I usually have a complete loss of appetite when I'm sick so I don't eat much, but I do drink a lot of water or even Gatorade. Sometimes I eat a little bit of soup but that's all.
Though that's only if I'm really sick. If im mildly sick then I eat all the usual stuff, I can handle something like allergies really well so my eating habits don't change with something like that.
