What do you give your villagers for their birthday?

i try to have a gift picked out by the week of their birthday and it’s usually clothes that’ll look good on them + match their favourite colour and/or style. i also make sure that the wrapping paper is their favourite colour, too!

Usually I go into their home before their birthday, look for the items that I like the least, and work out what I can give them to replace that. Or when I get lazy, clothing in their preferred colour. Sometimes just fruit, too, but rarely.

I recently came up with the idea to give my villagers TVs, since I noticed that no one has one and I thought it would at least match with Isabelle's complain about the villagers missing their favorite TV show, because of too many trees that (apparently) would block their path to find back home.

Otherwise, I usually give them stuff where I think it would fit to their other furniture. Sometimes also clothes, although only in cases where I think it would really look good on them in a longer term.

I still haven't used the wrapping paper I just pass their gift over hahaha but I usually try to give them something that matches their personality or something they have an interest in.

An Iron Wall Lamp all wrapped up because I heard thats the fastest way to get Villager photos.

I think the fruit stack and 2x wrapped foreign fruit tricks work better as I believe gifting wall furniture will cause their wall furniture to disappear.

Generally, I pick out an outfit for them that suits their style and I've tested on Harv's island (not everything they like should be worn!). Once in a while, I will give a piece of furniture, but while I don't mind changing something little in their houses, the basic style is nice, so I don't want them to become hodgepodge.

I give them whatever I feel like giving them. Usually furniture that goes with their theme or clothing I think would look good on them. I used to care about the default furniture in their house, but now it doesn't matter to me. That reminds me, Julian's birthday is today and I'll probably give him a nova light.

I have been conditioned to just give wrapped fruit. I did feel guilty as today is Julians birthday and his present was beautifully wrapped coconuts can you imagine giving a real life friend wrapped fruit on their birthdays?

I give them two wrapped foreign fruits unless I'm not keen on their house interior thus don't really mind giving them furniture. When I first played the game I gave them furniture all the time and saw how much it messed up the interior, so I've learned not to do that now.

I only give mine wrapped fruit. In my last save I gave Katt and Bob a Mom's apron and they wouldn't stop wearing it. Julian got wrapped apples yesterday. I figured it's appropriate since he's a horse.
