I remember answering this exact question before so went and dug up my old post:

I wouldn't consider it at this point in time, but I wouldn't rule it out for the future. I don't exactly relish the thought of my face and body becoming saggy and essentially unrecognizable and doubt I'd be opposed to a little nip and tuck if and when that does happen. I think it's easy to denounce things like cosmetic surgery when you're youthful and things like age and childbirth haven't yet wreaked havoc on your body, but I can definitely understand the reasoning of those who choose to go under the knife. It just boils down to the fact that it's their body and their decision, and it doesn't really affect anyone else.

On the other hand, I do have to question the psyche of those who take things too far and end up looking more like melted candles than actual human beings. There's definitely a difference between a breast reconstruction after having three kids or an eye lift in your early 50's, and injecting yourself with so much filler and having your face stretched out to the point where you look like a feline. While none of it is a necessity, I can certainly understand the reasoning of those who fall into the former category.

So no, I don't plan on it necessarily, but who knows how I'll feel in 30 years?

i personally am not against it. like cmon folks, its 2016 alr we can do whatever the **** we want. i have no idea why some ppl are agaisnt it. all people have imperfection. plastic surgery is basically the same as a trip to a hair salon. u just make it better.

I chose I am OK with it but do not want it. I think people are beautiful the way they are, but if they want a change, go ahead! It's their body, not mine lol. If there's something that about your body that you really dislike, and you want it removed, it's good to have plastic surgery as an option.

I'm not a fan of it and would never get it but I don't care what other people do to themselves.

If people want to do it, then all the power to them. I'd never do it and I don't think it really makes people look good, but I'm not the type of person who gets super judgmental about people who do it.

I'm not against it by any means, but I'm not interested in getting it. I think it becomes more and more obvious as you get older.

To me it doesn't matter. I wouldn't do it personally, but people can do whatever they want with their own bodies.

I've always felt conflicted about this. Although I guess I'm not against it, I don't exactly like the idea of it, especially personally. Like I can't imagine changing something I disliked about myself (some facial feature), having kids, and seeing my kids with that feature lmao. But again, you've got one life to live so why live it being unhappy with yourself right? But I'd deffff emphasize working on your complexes before even thinking about ps. There's also issues with disliking features about yourself because they aren't traditionally considered beautiful, and to fix that just will never sit with me

I think it's too bad that so many people can't see the beauty of looking like you're in whatever stage of life you're in. There are also so many people I know who've had procedures that take away certain ethnic features (I'm mainly thinking of some of my Chinese and Korean classmates from high school who've had eyelid and jaw procedures) and I find that really sad too. Other than those two issues it doesn't bother me though. I don't think I'd ever personally have cosmetic surgery unless I was disfigured in an accident or something.

let people do what they want with themselves is my motto. they aren't hurting anyone by getting plastic surgery so mind ya own business

also ive had my nose done so i cant say im against it lol

I don't judge people who choose to have it done for whatever reason, but personally I'm terrified of doctors, surgery, etc., so I can't see myself getting it done. I will admit that I think it would be better if people could accept themselves as they are instead of getting surgery for cosmetic reasons, because I feel like if you're going to surgically alter one "imperfection," aren't you just going to notice a different "imperfection" next? But I can certainly understand people feeling insecure about their appearances when there are a million cultural messages everywhere in the media about how people "should" look and all that.

Ultimately though, I would never look down on someone for what they chose to do with their body and isn't hurting anybody.

I really don't mind it, I have a friend who got her first elective surgery at 20, before she could even drink. She talked about it forever and was so excited about it and stuff and she seemed happy to get it, so I mean if you want it get it, I honestly don't have an opinion on what others do.

NOW I will say I do think it's extreme when people alter their bodies in horrific ways, or that people do "under the table" plastic surgery that leaves people horrible disfigured. Like I heard of this lady who literally was injecting cement into people... CEMENT. Really really horrible.

I plan on having plastic surgery later in life, not on my face or anything but being so well endowed after I am done having kids I'd like to have a breast reduction so I can live more comfortably, as they give me awful back problems. :/ So many people that I tell this to think it's awful that I'd destroy a good thing but they cause my physical pain so it's something I'd like to change.

I think it's sad some people really think they need it, but they can do whatever they want. and I'm really not going to judge.
sure, circumstances vary from person to person. and I am respectful of that. it only bothers me in a few cases, but it's not like I'm going to say it's wrong or anything. it is their choice in the end, not mine!
I don't look perfect but I don't wanna have anything done to myself to look "perfect" either.
I just think that if anyone chooses to get it done, be cautious. that's about all!

I think its stupid. people shouldn't change there looks mainly to appeal to others, whatever you look like you shouldn't change who you are because your face is what makes you, you.

i think it's generally harmless. you could cherry pick plenty of plastic surgery horror stories, but it's a real practice that helps people reconstruct damage or make them more comfortable in their appearance. if i had the money i'd probably look into some things.

I don't really care because to be honest, it's your face and not mine plus I already got enough regrets as it is.

It's a brilliant thing for people who are involved in accidents or have things they really dislike about their appearance.
I would never judge anybody for using it. If somebody has the money and it makes them happy, so be it.

It's your body. If you don't like something and you want to change it, you have every right. There's nothing wrong with that. I wish people wouldn't get shamed for doing...well...anything. Everyone's perception of what they look like is different, and if they want to change they should be able to.
