What do you think will be kept a secret?

do you think nintendo is keeping a few things under their sleeves still, to take us by surprise? well- other than not telling us the character limits & max villagers!

heres my little list of things i?m expecting to see after release!
- swimming
- kapp?n boat rides
- online hub (think like the islands in new leaf!)
- a marketplace, at least like retail, or maybe even online like pocketcamp!

I'm thinking they'll keep the new villagers under wraps, besides the ones we've already seen of course.

Although... that's assuming there even are more new villagers. The few that we've seen could possibly be the only new ones.

-I doubt they would remove swimming
-I feel like you can probably put patterns on shoes. If you can put patterns on a coffee mug hopefully you can your shoes...hopefully or thebitblock will lose his mind lol.

Things they are keeping on the DL might be cooking? Since eating is now a mechanic in the game maybe we can cook some chowder instead of eating 10 apples. AND MAYBE OUR VILLAGERS HAVE FAVORITE FOODS AND IF WE GIVE IT TO THEM ON THEIR BIRTHDAY WE GET THEIR PIC. Sorry.


Interactive PwP’s. I saw a manhole cover with the Pwps recipes. Maybe we can see the resseti’s again! Visit them at work when they aren’t airlifting us.

Secret lab in the museum. There’s gotta be more to that empty laboratory.

-new villagers (I dont think theyll show off a lot of them and leave it as a surprise to see all the new characters!)
-crafting/cooking edible food
-new underwater diving scenes maybe? (For example going on a "scuba tour" minigame in order to get all the collectables from diving)
-special limited time tours for the season/holiday
-unlockable hair/eyes/mouths via nook mile goals (not the ones you buy but as a secondary prize)
-"mainland" type setting that may work as a club tortimer type setting
-the ability to expand your island (not through terraforming) or have a nearby, smaller island to place businesses on

I'd be a little surprised if they've shown us all of the new villagers...

Though at the same time I'd be surprised if we got as many new villagers as we did in New Leaf.

I'm kinda doubting there being a new species, I feel like that's the sort of thing that would definitely have appeared on the cover art.

i think some of you are a little too hopeful about what we haven't seen yet, i doubt there will be way more hairstyles or hair colours we haven't seen to be honest.

i don't really know what i think is hidden, there is probably a lot that we don't know and won't know until launch.

i think most of the older features everyone’s worried about not returning, just because they haven’t been explicitly shown, will be in the game. gyroids, art exhibit, swimming + diving, bushes and the dream suite*

*though even if the dream suite itself doesn't return, im sure there will be a way to observe islands w/o having to visit the player, because that became such a huge thing in NL

I meant the deal between circle grass and triangle grass...
I haven't seen any circle grass yet but have seen many debating the topic (๑꒪ㅁ꒪๑)

I’m worried about the gyroids. That’s the #1 thing I kept searching on the direct. I know it seems very unlikely that they would remove this feature, but it’s still worrisome for me. I hope that’s one of their kept secrets. Maybe they’ll even add more gyroid sets?
