My first 3ds was the purple one, then I upgraded to the black 3ds XL, and then I bought a New 3ds xl in the grey metallic color. I honestly got it just to have the amiibo reader built in and to be able to buy Earthbound from the eshop. In hindsight I wish I had gotten a 2ds XL cause I literally never use the 3d

I still have my old blue 3DS I got back in 2012. I've been debating getting the Galaxy New 3DS XL, but they're just more than I can afford right now. Hopefully they go down for Black Friday and I can snag one. I don't have a Switch, and still actively play my 3DS. IDK how much longer Nintendo will keep supporting it, but it seems to be through 2019, so a new one would be absolutely lovely!
Yeah I've a black turquoise n2ds xl and while I liked the lid for where you put game cartridges and the size I hate that the upper screen have inwards edges/curves because dust and **** get there really easily and it's not too easy to clean because of that either. I only use this one for Streetpass and stuff though since you can't really play much more on it anyway.

I still have my old 3DS XL, but I have kind of small hands, so it's not very comfortable to hold, and the hinge is broken.

My first 3ds was a the same model as OP's! It was a handmedown gift from a penpal, though unfortunately, it wasn't in the best of shape. It lasted me about four years before it just... refused to hold a charge unless I held the cord at a very specific angle while plugged in.
So I bought my second one right around my birthday! I really wanted to get that new Pikachu 2ds, but I'm pretty broke and ended up getting that 70$ old school 2ds that came bundled with Mario Kart 8. And since I didn't have Mario Kart 8 yet, I thought it was a pretty good deal!
I didn't really care much for how the old 2ds models looked, but it's grown on me!

I got 3 consoles: I got the new black 3dsxl, I the black and blue 2dsxl and I managed to get a happy home designer new 3dsxl

I had a 3DS a black one which is broken now. And I have a purple 2DS XL I got for Christmas.

I have the original 3DS in both aqua blue and midnight purple. I got them both used off eBay in pretty good condition, but now the aqua blue one which I've had the longest is starting to show some wear. The directional analog is sticking, but luckily it hasn't affected game play yet. It's just kind of annoying that I always have to purposely move it back to the center every time I move because I can't stand to leave it off-center.

I have the N2DSXL in black and blue. I can't use the 3d because of eye problems, so when they released the N2DSXL, I picked it up immediately. Also, you can lay it down flat, which is my prefered playstyle. I want to get a skin for it eventually, probably after Persona Q 2 releases.
Ok, I?m one of the collectors, but I have a problem with 3ds hardware. So far, I have these systems:

Zelda Link Between Worlds XL bundle still sealed

Majoras Mask n3ds xl
Black n3ds xl
SNES n3ds xl
AC HHD n3ds bundle
Pokemon n3ds bundle (for an ips screen)
Super Mario n3ds Black Friday system (for a n3ds in black)
Japanese n3ds (bought this when it looked like NA region would not get the smaller n3ds)
That?s it currently. I?ve also had a blue XL that I traded in for money off the Link Between Worlds bundle and a black PAL region n3ds that I sold for some reason. Kept the plain black faceplates though. Still use those on my AC HHD system.
