Personally, when I started playing, I would like to do only fishing and then day by day I was watching YouTube videos for how people decorating their islands then got into decorating outside and more fun with waterscaping specially on the hills
probably outdoor decorating! just finding new ways to make my island look nice is super fun, not that I'm doing much of it at the moment. I also quite like terraforming and am growing more tempted by the day to just flatten my whole island and redo it. decorating interiors is fun too but for me that's more of a one time thing.
i enjoyed catching the new bug and fish every season, but that's really petered out for me - mostly cause i've caught almost everything. i enjoy trying to decorate my villager's houses a lot. outdoor decoration is also enjoyable, but i'm waiting for other furniture items i guess (i missed all of the autumn ones).
well whenever i start the new day i do my dailies which are:
- walk along the beach to find a DIY bottle and maybe gulliver
- talk to a couple villagers so they don't get mad at me
- water all my flowers that i need hybrids of
- dig out all fossils
- hit all the rocks to gather materials and money
- visit the nook shop and the able sisters
- check out if there's anything good to buy with my nook miles
once that is all done, i just go back to decorating my island, as i am far from being done with it
Outdoor and indoor decorating. I've been redoing some of my characters rooms, and I like them so much more than before. Now I'm wanting to make another character, so I have more rooms to decorate. I just wish I had somewhere to put another house.
working towards completing my nook mile achievements and expanding my catalog are definitely my favourite things to do right now but from your list, interior design has always been incredibly fun for me! i haven’t done much of it as of late since my house is mostly done + i haven’t had much energy but working on my rooms has always been so calming to me and i love looking at my progress and before/after pics.
Outdoor decorating and re-decorating. Lol. That’s all I seem to do. I can’t really make up my mind and I easily get sick of seeing the same things over and over so I tend to do a lot of adjustments over time especially when the seasons change. I also like experimenting with custom designs, paths and ground designs. It excites me a lot.
I'm really happy/proud of the new version of my island, so currently I've been enjoying taking certain routes around the island and "sight seeing" while doing my dailies like fossil digging and nook mile + tasks. I always get distracting and stop for photos when I see my villagers doing cute things around nice areas I built. But other than just casual play, I really like terraforming and decorating. I'm kind of bored now that I have nothing in mind to build but I've been itching to rebuild so come spring I might change up a few areas!
More than half of my hours have been dedicated to terraforming and outdoor decorating. It’s fun for me to build and see projects come to life on a more ‘grand’ scale while being able to live daily life among them. For example, fishing in-game for me is a lot more enjoyable if I make a scenic lake or fisher’s market area.
Right now I am really into inside and outside decorating. I am pretty satisfied at the moment with the overall look on my island so decorating is my primary focus. I may TT back to December then to January again for more Mons art. I really like them for my interiors. I am also going to start cycling through villagers so I've been gifting villagers to get their photos. I got Merengue's yesterday and will boot her out when she wants to leave.
