Stoats or ferrets or minks! I hadn't thought of anything like that! They would be awesome!

Insects.. DEFINITELY insects. sure it may be a little odd with bugs already being in the game but squids are catchable and octi villagers are in the game soooooo grumpy tarantula villager

I've seen all the ones I want mentioned in the thread. But can you imagine snake villagers?
They'd have to model them so if they're wearing long sleeved shirts, the sleeves would flop around. And their gesturing would be limited to wiggling.

I've wanted bats SO badly for years. They would be my number one. And I agree that we should get more octopi! And I know that they try to avoid having villagers that you can also catch, but sharks and spiders or some kind of bug would be really cool!

Goldfish - there are easily 25 distinct types that could be in the game as villagers

Lizards - with Gecko subtype

Salamander - with Axolotl subtype

Whales and Dolphins - At least one of the dolphins should be based off Sextina Aquafina from Bojack Horseman and another Pearl from SpongeBob. Also a unique Narwhal villager like Julian.

Cranes - move Flora and Cranston to this species

Female Lions

More Octopuses, Rhinos, and Hamsters.

I think the franchise has done a great job at having a wide selection of species, and also including oddballs like pangolins and okapi into existing species. But I would really like more weird villagers. Bats, insects, lizards (like everyone else has mentioned), and maybe, like crabs (hey, they managed to make octopi work).

I'd also love if they slapped some antlers on a rabbit villager- I want a jackalope so badly, and they already have other mythical animals in the game like kappas and a dragon

I would love more CATS, kidding! I really like galagos/lemurs. It would be interesting to see how animals that look like other species for example Sylvana (ferret) or Chief (Fox) are affected if they add this new species.
