I’m thinking of buying a controller for my Nintendo switch.

Does anyone know a very good controller that’s comfy for playing Pokemon and acnh on the tv a long time?

I guess it really comes down to your hands and what exactly you a looking for in terms of comfort. Personally, I couldn't afford a standard pro-controller but I find the PowerA controllers to be very comfortable. They are lightweight, nice on the hands with nice grips, great button placement, etc. The one I have is wired which doesn't worry me but might others depending on your setup. PowerA controllers have mushy buttons with a bit of give as do a lot of budget controllers- so that is another point of personal preference. I use it to play animal crossing and mario kart comfortably.

This is the controller that I have:
I got the ACNH edition.

Always look for the nintendo certified ones. The more you spend on it, generally, the clicker the buttons will be and the sleeker the finish will be.

I just want to play in the living room ~which is sofa - coffee table - then tv

I use the Nintendo Pro Controller for all of my gaming needs when I have it docked. I'm sure there are really good controllers that aren't the official Nintendo brand but I really prefer to use the official controllers just in case something were to happen. I have the wireless one which is really nice because I don't have to worry about where I am sitting when I am playing my games. They are pricey but I haven't had a problem with this controller since I purchased it 3 years ago.

i dont know if this will help, but i tend to have lots of problems with controllers. i really prefer the joy cons and being able to throw my hands wherever i want when i play, though they do become disconnected if my leg gets in the way or something.

in any case, heres the one i have. its super light weight which is nice, but feels too chunky for my small hands. i also just hate the wires. so maybe not something shaped like this ? something more like the shape of an xbox controller, and wireless if those exists
