fnskdf like not to be mean but...........his face is traumatizing. i saw him for the first time and was like "WHAT". moose seriously gives me the creeps. like in my opinion he is the absolute ugliest villager

Tabby's pig nose. She would be cute without the pig nose. Truffles, especially her eyebrows. Couldn't they give her natural eyebrows? All the mice. Mice are kinda cute in real life but they made them so weird in the game.

Purrrl. I wanted to love her because she is so similar to my real cat but her design style is very out of date and simple. I wish they had updated the old style character designs so they'd fit better with the current game graphics.
 
Sylvia - her colors are very very gross..

Marcie - she is cute kind of, but if she just had a nose? like the others? She'd look so much better!

Freckles, her eyes and fleshy color weirds me out, makes me think of the eraser head baby from that one horror movie/meme LMAOOOO

Deena - she just looks like puke, gross colors and weird eyes!

Tabby - the pig nose, it just ruins the whole design, she'd be so cute with a little pink kitty nose, or even no nose tbh.

Megan - her weird shaped eyes are very unsettling, they make me uncomfortable. =(
 
With Tabby they gave her that nose cause she has a flat face. Like some cats do get.

Guess with me the one I don't understand, is Alice, way to human in aesthetic than Koala.
 
Beardo... I've always thought his "belly" hair really looks like a patch of a different type of hair due to its placement... 🤢 He gives me creepy, secretly-a-serial-killer vibes and is one of the villagers I truly hated when I had him as a random move in.

Most of the ugly villagers I actually like. I like the plain, cute villagers for sure, but I also like having unique villagers from every other town. So I'm not too picky about who lives in my town. But never, ever would I choose Beardo.

LMAAOO same. I hate Barold so much. He looks like the sort of guy who gets really really mad that women won't reply to him on Tinder but he doesn't brush his teeth and he smells like 50 day old B.O. I know a handful of guys like that and they're horrific people to be around and so looking at Barold just gives me the shivers and creeps. Like can I please ESCAPE unenjoyable interactions into this game please. Don't make me face the creeps here too omg.

Also, another thing with the ostrich villagers. There are 10 in the species though only one is actually an ostrich; Sandy. The others are made up of 1 Flamingo, 1 Pheasant, 1 Emu, 3 Cranes, 1 Peacock, 1 Phoenix and 1 straight-up Robot. Though I love this because they are all different and unique! It makes having a lot of them more interesting.

I agree, and like someone mentioned earlier, I get why they had to group all of them under one title to serve programming needs, but it would be so much cooler if they talked about themselves as what they were DESIGNED to be and not just under the label "ostrich". Hearing Julia actually call herself a peacock would literally make me die and then come back to life!
I think it's also important to note though that many of these ostriches, and many other villagers as well, with the unique designs based on unique animals were not added until NL. I feel like that whole idea of designing villagers based on species outside of the given ones didn't really take off until NL (Flora, Phil, Cranston, Phoebe, Blanche, Papi, Tucker, Kyle, All of the deer basically, etc)
 
Hands down Stinky - his eyes are just two short lines, and I’m sorry but whatever the heck he’s wearing on his face looks like an inverted underwear to me. Also, he has a very strange color palette? Like he is this greenish yellow color, and his face mask is blue and red, just, ugh....

I do not understand how and why they designed him in this unflattering way
 
Months ago, I encountered a bird named Jacob. He looked like a colorful, fancy villager with a lazy personality, and I wondered if I should move him in... Then I looked at his home.

In both NL and NH, it's a total trash heap with a nest in the center. Just that alone, I just don't understand. A pretty trash bird?! :cry: That just ruined his design.
 
mostly just the ones that have been said, really. barold, beardo, harry, hippeux, clyde, diva, jambette, al, chops, clay, cobb, gruff, moose, gigi, naomi, rodney, wart jr. i actually like tabby and stinky, personally,
