What's Bothering You?

I really hate the new Discord usernames. I wish we could keep the discriminators, especially as a Nitro subscriber. This is going to take some getting used to.

Also, I was misgendered by a someone on another forum I use, but I can’t say I blame them considering they know me as female… It’s just weird because I work in a team with this person, without saying too much. Oh, well. I’ve stated my pronouns on my Discord bio, too.

I know it's only the morning and I don't want to post here, but there's something that's bothering me for the past few weeks now. Why would a workplace tell me that I got a job offer only to hear little to nothing back from them? The person who's helping me to find a job tried contacting them but got no answer. I was looking forward to this opportunity but no, I guess jobs in general hate me and that I'll never ******* find one. The process of searching is tedious and going for interviews if I'm lucky enough. In reality, I did get a couple of interviews to set up at other places but ended up declining because I assumed they'd send some stuff about that said job offer to sign. I should've tried anyways for other potential opportunities in case things go south and now I'm kicking myself for it.

Why do I always get the short end of the stick? How come my classmates are getting jobs way sooner and at very good places? Am I really just that bad? Am I useless? I hate this feeling. Not getting a job is one thing, but getting told about having a job offer and not hearing from them doing their part smothers my hopes in the mud which is worse. I never thought this would be possible but I guess the unfortunate stuff always goes to me. It hurts me on the inside every time when my classmates land a job while I on the other hand get little to nothing in return despite the efforts I put in. Is it too much to ask for one? It's so draining getting failure after failure and being left behind. 😞
 
I don't want to lose anyone I care about. I don't want there to be a time where I have to say goodbye, have to watch on as days pass without them in this world. I never want the ones I treasure to pass on to the otherworld.
...It's an inevitable fate, I know. Some of them have already passed, even. But whenever I think about what the future holds this thought comes up, leaving me somewhat downtrodden. Just wish everyone who means something to me could stay forever sometimes.

On a somewhat less heavy note, I hope I won't have to change my Discord username with that announced change. My account is old, but my ideal username is both short and not unique. Guess I'll have to wait and see. :/
 
It sucks feeling like people are talking about you behind your back. I don’t want the negative attention.

Also, I hope I’ll get to keep my Discord username. I hate the new change. I wish we could keep the discriminators.

Hey, buddy! I just wanted to say I was in your same situation just a couple years ago. Just remember that your value does not decrease depending on whether or not a place decides to hire you. You just got to keep giving it your all and not give up until you find a place that truly values and respects your talents, skills, and knowledge and puts them to good use. I hope you find something amazing soon! 💚
 
My sling bag won’t stay on when I bend down because I’m too ****ing skinny. It’s annoying having it slide down to my chest EVERY DAMN TIME. I can’t even adjust the strap since it’s already at the shortest setting. I guess slings aren’t for people like me and I should get a daybag??

I know there’s worse problems to have but I still posted this, idk…

If you have basic sewing you can probably take it in a bit or ask someone to or find a tailor? It really depends on how much you like the sling bag I suppose. I have a pair of pants that someone gave me that are from a company that is now defunct and they are very rare and highly sought after. But they are way too big for me so when I am more financially secure I plan on having a tailor take them in a bit.

I know how annoying it is to find/buy something like that and have it end up not working out like the way you hoped it would. Hopefully you can find a solution to this!

I feel you on this, and it does get annoying when you constantly have to adjust. I have a crossbody bag where the strap does the same thing. Anytime I sit down, get up, or lean over, the strap slips down to my chest or ankles. And running? Forget about it.
 
Not me thinking the worst and thinking about the quitting my job and going elsewhere and disappearing into nothingness and then getting an invitation to a development training course that only 15 people out of the 500+ people were chosen for 😭

Why do I overreact so badly sometimes lmao
 
i am so embarrassing sometimes i just repress the memory lol. also i noticed i have the longest hours out of everyone at work. also i have period pains. also i have a big exam next week that i have yet to study for. also i got four hours of sleep. also totk is releasing the weekend before my test so i will have to shield myself from spoilers
 
Nothing is going right and I’m still disassociating 24/7. The only person I can have a conversation with without feeling like I have to explain every little thing is my psychologist. It isn’t because of other people a lot of the time. I’m just too difficult. It feels like life is designed against me. Also love problems. Also ill. And my room gets cold as hell and nobody helped to fix it. I sleep like 5 hours a day. I just feel so alone on the things I’m doing I don’t want to bother. ): every little thing is like why bother when i feel so disconnected from everyone and maybe just everything in general. Hell disassociating really isn’t even *feeling* all my feeling is gone and without someone having that experience it is laborious to explain and thats like the most overwhelming thing in my life now so people dont even get the main thing. With everything that happened tbh i didnt even want to visit the forum so everythings wrong.
 
I have my AP Lang and Comp exam tomorrow and it is so anxiety-inducing. I've been preparing myself for this exam, yet a voice in the back of my mind is doubting my abilities, and it's really draining. I've also been oversleeping lately because of stress, so I'm terrified that I will oversleep tomorrow and miss the exam (which I will literally bawl my eyes out). I don't know, I'm glad it'll be over, but I have to take the American Lit End of Course assessment, which the AP Lang and Am Lit standards do NOT coincide, so I'm scared that I'll know absolutely nothing because we haven't learned any American Lit topics in detail, only skimmed over. This test takes up 2 days. Then, I have a Chemistry test on Friday, which I'm not worried about, but still, I'm going to be physically and emotionally drained. After this week though, I'll be done with school (I exempted my Chemistry final, the EOC is our final in AP Lang, and I've already taken my college algebra exam, and my band class doesn't have a final). Then, I'll be taking 3 dual enrollment courses over the summer, U.S. History (End of Civil War to Present), Political Science, and Psychology. To top off my summer, I'll be busy with marching band activities since I'm in leadership and our assistant drum major. Finally, senior year, my easiest year, will finally begin!
 
Just sick of my brother being so crappy towards me. Earlier he was telling me things like "you're a *****, I hope you know that", "you're disgusting-looking", "nobody likes you", "do you ever learn from your mistakes?", etc.

Also stressed about unfinished school assignments and feeling ignored by my friends, but what else is new.
 
I don't know what the heck is going on with me. Both my Blood Sugar and Blood Pressure is high. Despite taking medications to help its not doing enough. I am seeing so many doctors just to help me give me the right treatment. Its been driving me crazy. I really hope I get the right medications to help with this problem.
 
I lay here remembering a few months back, I threw up due to drinking something my stomach didn’t agree with. I guess it woke my dad up and he yelled at me for throwing up on the carpet. It made me feel even worse.

My favorite person is the sweetest. It’s like every time I want to break down she’s there. It’s like she actually cares about me and not the dumb carpet.
 
Got an emotional apology from someone over something quite awful they did a few years ago. It was actually very nice until I noticed that things were off & that I was dreaming, so I woke up angry about the whole thing. Thanks brain! I thought we'd already gotten over this. 🙃
