-Mini games on the Islands.
-More clothes in the shop
-More home upgrades
-A bigger Island, I can’t fit everything I want on it.

I’m pretty happy with things on the whole, but a shop upgrade and a few more minor holidays/photo events would be very welcome (it’s so weird that they’re basically only in May and the wedding photo event in June.)
I’d also like it if there were some sort of way to call villagers/wandering visitors just so I know whether or not Celeste is present or if I have to check the museum would be welcome. Maybe a little Island visitor’s center/if you’re lost, come here station that Copper and Booker could run? But that’s a wish, not a thing I ever fully expected them to do.
(I never liked the coffee game, tbh. Too much rote memorization, especially for special characters.)

The only thing I really want is more spots for villagers. I’ve always known that was a long shot though, so it’s not a big disappointment. I do wish I could trade my extra playable character slots for villagers though…

overall though, even though I had no actual wishlist, the update looks great, and I’m really looking forward to it. Interested to see how much you can interact with the resort island villagers.

i’m genuinely so happy with and grateful for everything that we’re getting in the 2.0 update, but there are definitely a few more things that i’d love to see be added one day;

❁ more villager slots! i was so sure that we would get at least 2-5 more slots when they announced the new villagers, but i was wrong lol. i’m still holding out hope, though!
❁ minigames + being able to play hide & seek with villagers.
❁ dr. shrunk.
❁ the roost’s part-time job minigame from new leaf. this could be in the game for all i know, but i figure they would’ve shown it in the direct if it was.
❁ april fool’s day and blanca.
❁ katie.
❁ more returning villagers. sunny...
❁ new bridge and incline designs.

Honestly I just want the pelicans, the Resettis, and the police dogs even if they’re just special NPCs that come visit—I think that would be fun.
It’s not like something that’s a dealbreaker for me, but I’d love to be able to put a police station on my island and like in (I think?) NL be able to go into the sewer to see the moles. I don’t think they’d be needed much for resetting this time, but it would be fun to see them again especially since resetti has always been one of my favorite personalities in the game and I thought he was hilarious as a kid!

I didn't have any expectations going into the Direct, but after what we were shown, the only thing I was surprised we didn't see at all was an upgrade to Nook's Cranny, since it was the perfect time to introduce another upgrade to it. I'm still hoping that gets included, whether that's sneaked into this update or it hopefully comes in a future update.

Same… I’m honestly surprised more upgrades weren’t a thing considering everything else. I think Nooks would look nice more as a department store, sort of like Nookington’s.

Not game play, but I'm still really hoping for a reprint of the Welcome amiibo RV cards!!! I only need 7 more cards from Series 1-4, will be completing Series 5, finally got my hands on the Sanrio cards, but there are still those 50 WA cards that I want. Ellie & Maggie are 2 of my dreamies and are in that set.
