DIYs aside ( I think? ), this is already a thing you can do. You can even opt to keep your bells, having them all sent as one lump sum, or get daily payments with a 10% interest.

Edit: never mind. Just heard there will be no more paid dlc. And with no more free updates that dream is gone

Not sure if you already know, they never said no more updates. Just no more major updates, which I'm not entirely sure what that entails.
That said, there probably won't be minigames added, but there will be free updates still.

Multiplayer anything. I'm really happy with this update and personally don't need a lot more. But to bring back my ac friends and play together again I'm afraid coffee wont cut it.. a lot of discords has been dead since summer of 2020 and i miss playing
with my ac friends

Yeah which is a shame.
But I do get it.
From there end. The only things you can't change are beach rocks. Air port. And resident services.

So long as you didn't chose something that does not mesh with you at all, you have so so many tools to work around it. So resetting is not needed.

But sometimes we all want a clean slate.
So its a shame

Optional extra villager houses. There's still so much space on my island, and with these new villagers, I'd love to welcome a few more onto the island.

The ability to hang wall decorations on the cliff sides. I suppose the new vines look good too.

Shop upgrade. Whyyyyyy. They could bring Gracie back with that one, too.

Honestly that’s what happened to me. Sometimes it’s just easier to start over than destroy everything and rebuild it. I just recently started over though so it’s perfect timing for this update.

Thats true, but even if they do keep adding a few new items here and there, it's not a huge deal to me.
I doubt we will see anything more after this though.

And to be honest I'm glad.
Not because I don't want more.

But because now people know the score.
No one will be waiting around any more.
They can either love and play the game.
Or dislike it and leave.

No longer will we have people who dislike the game clinging on to the updates.

And I really hope that with an update this epic, they got what they wanted.

For the people mentioning the non-AC/non-Sanrio amiibo villagers, I agree. I really would like to see Felyne return. I still have a Monster Hunter amiibo that I bought to get Felyne in NL!

Considering cooking was put in the game, it feels like they have even more reason to put those in now.

Maybe that would be a minor enough update to push if people asked enough for it.
I was thinking about the move out function on ACNH ... sucks island residents can't move out.

I guess if you have patience, and a friend or second Switch, you can learn all the DIYs on a secondary character, take all your furniture and bells and move out, then delete your island and start over by moving in again. Complicated, though.

I'm impressed with this update and DLC. Very impressed. But yeah, sadly, there are still some key things missing:

- Quite a few AC NPCs that have appeared in pretty much every game up until now (Booker reminds me of a dog we had years ago, it breaks my heart he's not coming back)
- Shop upgrades
- Room size upgrades
- (presumably) lots of past furniture sets and pieces

I hope we can get a lot more multiplayer options like the new Kapp'n adventures to other islands. I used to love visiting the islands all the times with my friends. It would be nice if they allowed us to have company with us.

I'm super happy with the direct... it went way beyond my most hopeful expectations.

That said, I wish there had been some hint of the sweets set and I would have liked to see more hair colors and styles by Harriet. Specifically darkest blue, white, and the lightest blond from New Leaf. Not a huge fan of the new styles.

I would love more hair colors. I was surprised we don’t have light blonde and white. I would also like dark purple.
