What's the last movie you've seen?

Saw Wakanda Forever and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Wakanda Forever was a great (especially the Namor scenes) and The Last Jedi was ok but very odd choices made.

Gonna finish it off with Rise of Skywalker tonight!

Frozen 2

(sigh) I am one of those people who isn't fan of the original and I think its overrated. I gave this one a chance and yeaahhh I am not a fan of this one either. I heard they are making yet another Frozen. It doesn't surprise me because Frozen is one of Disney's most popular movies.

I watched The Pale Blue Eye today and I thought it was pretty decent. There was some good casting and performances, all of the usual tie-ins to Poe's famous works, and some nice visuals. However, I felt a bit disappointed in the mystery at the heart of the story. It was too glaringly obvious to figure out and the pace was quite slow at points, even for me.

a friend took me out for some post-christmas fun.
we rounded off the night by seeing the new avatar. i didn't think i'd like it as much as i did!

Little Women, I think (been a while since I watched a movie). The 2019 one.
It was really beautiful!

I mean Disney is also making a Toy Story 5 when they said it would be the last one with 3 and 4. I can't see it being that good since 4 was an unneeded addition that butchered character personalities in order for it to work.

Oh yeah I heard they are making a 5th Toy Story. This is showing that they are out of ideas and trying so hard to milk their popular franchises to make them money.

We Have a Ghost.

It was just a fun and easy film to watch which makes a change seeing as it's a Netflix film.

Glass Onion. It was really good, I love the dunks at Elongated Muskrat, I love Janelle Monae and I love Benoit Blanc.

Scream (the first one from 1996). I'm generally not a fan of the horror genre, but I kinda liked this movie, particularly all the references and 4th-wall breaks. Although I did have to look away from the screen for certain moments because they were pretty graphic and I'm queasy with blood. ; ;

On the subject of the Toy Story films, I recently had the urge to watch the first three. All three films are still absolutely wonderful, and they have aged splendidly well. Even the more uncanny human characters in the first two films have such an artistry to them that I think make their blemishes appear more like the product of artistic intent than technological limitation.

If I had to choose favorites in order, it would probably be something like 1 > 3 > 2, but the competition between each of them is so close that their positions shouldn't be taken as an indicator of lesser quality by any means.

Such wonderful films, even after all these years. I don't care for 4, and I probably won't be seeing 5 when it inevitably gets thrown out. So I'm happy to just regard them as a trilogy.

I really don't know what they will do with Toy Story 5 because after seeing 4 I was just so baffled by that sequel and to think they are doing another one is just making me go "Why?" Toy Story 3 was PERFECT for the ending because it wrapped everything up and ended on a high note. Toy Story 4 comes out of nowhere and just makes more loop holes in the story. I have a bad feeling Toy Story 5 might be even worse .

It's ironic that a series about accepting the impermanence of life can't find the courage to graciously end.

had a vampire themed movie night with a friend, and we watched the lost boys and vampire's kiss.

the lost boys was fun at first, but it kinda petered out towards the end.

vampire's kiss was a weird one, but a good watch. it felt like more of an acting showcase for nicolas cage than an interesting movie, but he did well!

I think that's mostly everyone's opinion. 4 never happened. Despite it being like 10 years after Toy Story 3, 4 had to be within the span of a year at the most. So Bonnie who loved Woody in 3 now hates him in 4 simply to propel the story? Writers are becoming such hacks in Hollywood.

The theater was having a limited-time event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Titanic, so I went to see it with some friends last night. I loved it, but man was it an emotional rollercoaster. Also why did Rose’s fake fiancée who looks strangely like Hans from Frozen not die? Wasted opportunity.

Meet the Robinsons. It's my husband's favorite movie, and I'd never seen it before. We watched it last month while on vacation.
