....when we could barely get him as a visiting NPC because of new horizons messy NPC schedule, let alone complete his regular items (those that don't TT)????

it's just... idk, this can wait until next summer imo? we'll already have our hands full trying to complete the mermaid series DIY. i'm not complaining, i saw the variations they're MANY and the items are cool as well but it would probably take us a long time to get them. what's the point of having this already? am i missing something

edit: right after posting this i learned that with the update, they changed visiting NPC schedules, now all of them have equal chance appearing every week. thank god!

They want us to continue playing the game for a long time. This will drive a lot of revenue for Nintendo if we keep subscribing to their online services. I don't mind it really. It feels like a daily task that you usually do with mobile games.

does this stop regular gulliver from appearing? what's the situation here?

No, it doesn’t. I agree the visitor system should be changed (Leifn and Kicks should not arrive this many times), but I’m happy for the pirate stuff. Couldn’t care less for mermaid diys though.

My speculative guess is that this version of Gulliver replaces the regular version. It's more of like a seasonal Gulliver. Frankly speaking, you're not wrong about our hands being full with several visitors in our island. Redd's collection alone is gonna take forever completing it without trading from other players.

so if it's a seasonal gulliver, i'm hoping he will be more often? (just a guess) because i saw the items, that was a lot! you won't be able to complete that unless you trade online (or tt). i actually want that treasure chest so i lowkey feel pressured to collect lol.

i still wanted items from regular gulliver, i guess now i have no choice but to TT or spam him when he arrives.. idk it feels unnatural but it is what it is

Gullivarr doesn't replace regular Gulliver, they'll just compete for a weekly spot. Meaning they share an encounter day, you won't see both versions in the same week.

Gullivarr will have you diving for parts and in return will give you pirate items.

On top of that, regular Gulliver is still needed for Nook Miles to unlock the golden shovel, they wouldn't get rid of him.

oh cool. so is he a seasonal character or is he all year long?

would be interesting if they changed NPC schedules with this update. i guess we'll find out soon.

Regarding the NPC schedules, do you know if they have a chance of showing up two weeks in a row? Or is it that if 5 show up one week, then you'll for sure get the other 4 (not including Celeste and Wisp) the next? For instance, I have C.J. today, do you know if there's a chance he could show up on Monday?

do you have a link to the new schedule/break down of how they will be appearing? Just curious since there are like 12 NPCs and only 7 days of the week!

nvm, just saw your other post haha
