What's your comfort restaurant?

This restaurant called Tadashi downtown - got so popular it had to open up a 2nd location because the old one was cramped and crowded! They make a mean shrimp tempura roll and good miso soup, but it’s more popular now because of the trendy, large 2nd location. The first one had a more homey feel, I can’t explain it.

There's a locally owned restaurant near me that serves tavern food and a few specials. They're reasonably priced, and with the closures, they've been doing curbside service. I know everyone who works there, so I trust that the food is both tasty and correctly prrepared.

There's a few places I'd consider 'comfort restaurants'

Two sushi places I really like... Hanami Express + mizu... their sushi is very good ;w;

AND if I'm being honest... who doesn't love Taco Bell.. their food is great but I don't eat it often.

I'll list one more... not because I work there, but because I love the ice cream... always makes me feel better; Coldstone Creamery! ;w; We make the ice cream from scratch and I guess that's why it always tastes better than Dairy Queen haha​

in my hometown there was a lot of asian places and just restaurants in general, so when I was in high school I'd go out with friends and stuff a ton.

back at my collegetown though theres this really damn good Korean restaurant that me and my friends go to like... once a month or something. Regardless of how fancy the occasion is. xD

On my internship I'm living in the middle of nowhere, but it's like a weird mix of urban-suburban and there aren't really any good asian restaurants around... so me & my bf usually make food at home.

When I go out though, I usually order something super expensive like fish or steak. xD I could cook it at home for less $$$ but why go out for something I'm not gonna enjoy? :3

there's a local dumpling restaurant near me that is SO GOOD. they have really good soup, dumplings, bao, etc. but they've been closed since march hoping I can order from them again before I move across the country in a couple of months. I usually get the house soup with braised beef and a side of bao!

I used to love TGI Friday's and could always go there for a good burger. Their popularity (at least around here) took a big dive and they went out of business. My ideal go-to restaurant would be Dave and Buster's, but realistically we don't have any nearby. So I would probably go with Cracker Barrel.

i have a lot of food allergies, so finding a proper restaurant with good stuff i can eat is a rarity. but there's this little bakery/market near me that's all gluten-free and their food is sooo good. i get a pizza from them when i have an especially bad day, thank god they're still open for delivery rn lol.

There’s a Korean chicken place not too far from my university my friend and I always went to when we ate out. Now I’m back home and it’s a little too far just to get food but I can’t wait to go back once the situation gets better because I’ve been craving their food

A locally-owned small chain Japanese restaurant in my city. They serve donburi and ramen mostly, as well as side dishes like takoyaki and dumplings. But oh my gosh it is sooo good ;-; Their food is just simply divine and affordable, and incredibly filling. Literally was holding out for it to open after lockdown and it was the first dine-in restaurant I went to with friends after restaurants opened. It was a good choice.
