What's your current hyper fixation ?

Animal Crossing (New Horizons only): I'm currently decorating my newest character's home and it's coming along wonderfully so far. But however, there's one room I can't think of anything for at the moment so I might keep it the way it is for now. I also made a few changes to some areas and other rooms in the other houses. Can't wait to update the DA.

Stardew Valley: I've been playing this one non stop, I'm like at year 8 going for 9 now. I just finished my museum yesterday.

All the Story of Seasons and Rune Factory games : I put these on the back burner for now because of AC and Stardew. But I do enjoy them.

Others are MBTI, Writing my story, Reading (again) and researching anything that catches my eye.

Dunno if it counts, but just Steam. I recently discovered an old account I made with the username I wanted, so I had to move on from my old new account. It feels good to start fresh and have the same username on every gaming platform and also have THE account for me, but I also miss my achievements. Should I replay Life is Strange? Ace Attorney? Danganronpa? Those are big commitments and I feel like if I buy the Switch versions I won't play them and just sell them again. And so many games are just gone, like HITMAN (I know 3 has all three games but I liked having the other games when they came out). I still have to wait a week until I can use the community market, but I'll just buy badges for games I completed which will be fun to have opposed to using level up services with ugly badges. Also game bundles just aren't as good anymore. I've been going through my old purchases to check for any unused keys (I got lucky with one so far!) and the bundles six years ago were soooo much better. But back to Steam. I've been using this account just for some games for a couple of months now and decided to finish like one or two games per weekend. I definitely shouldn't run out of games this year, but I really struggle with having time for it. It was much easier being a gamer while being a neet. The two go hand-in-hand so easily.

Right now mine is drawing. I usually draw once every few months or so but suddenly last week I picked up the drawing pad and I just cant seem to put it back down. I learned some new ways to draw hair, eyes, shade, and few new features of procreate (Every time I think I learned all the cool tools on procreate I stumble upon 3 more lol). I'm really surprised at the amount of improvement I've made in a week. Not sure how long this hyper fixation will last but I've had a blast with it.

recently it's been the story and aesthetics from the old sonic games, and also shadow the hedgehog i want sonic heroes so baddd

After years of obsessing over PaRappa, I found myself becoming hyper-fixated on the Pokemon character Kieran.

OMG! They gave him more character development than Nana-On Sha did with PaRappa and it shows when you play the Scarlet/Violet DLC. There’s also a bunch of other things I really like about him, like the way he acts towards the player (he’s real interested in them, and some people interpret this as crushing on them!!) and that goofy catchphrase of his, which you can see in my user title.

Come to think about it, both Kieran and PaRappa have a lot in common despite their many differences, and their similarites may have played a role in my hyper-fixation over them:
  1. Both are male.
  2. Both come from video games.
  3. Both have a catchphrase they say often. (PaRappa’s is “I gotta believe!”)
  4. Both express attraction towards another character (Sunny Funny for PaRappa, Ogerpon and (possibly) the player for Kieran)
  5. Both are cute-

THE HUNGER GAMES I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH

And I think Taylor swift too cause I love her music so much and I don’t wanna listen to anything else

There's an anime for PaRappa the Rapper, isn't there? 🐶🎤 I know that the intro has a cool song. 😁 I haven't played that series though. As far as cute rhythm games go, I've only played Rhythm Heaven. That series is awesome. ✊😤

Yeah, I know about the anime. I haven't watched it though. I heard people didn't like it because the humor was different from the games.

I know, right!? It makes up for PaRappa not being on Nintendo consoles! I hope they release a new entry for the Switch this year.

I know, right!?
What? Your favorite entry in the series is the first one on the GameBoy Advance, Rhythm Tengoku, that only came out in Japan?? Oh wow, me too! 😀 And your favorite Remix from that game is Remix 5?? Damn, mine too! 😲 I have all the other installments, but I haven't finished the 3DS one. I remember the Sumo Brothers one in it has a swaggin' tune. 😎🎶 (i edited this to say remix 5. I meant 5! I meant 5!!!)

Hey, don't make any assumptions! Just because I really like the Rhythm Heaven series doesn't mean I have the exact same tastes as you :p (And I didn't mean to come off as rude, but my point stands)

osu 💀 if I don't play osu often enough I get really upset! I take a lot of cold showers and hold my hands in ice water to try mitigate the damage 6 stars does to my body.
my other fixation is fitness and acrobatics which can get very frustrating having to recover physically and not being able to jump around nonstop forever. I want to climb up everything that looks climbable. I just have too much energy.
I drum a lot and bongo on things and stim with anything I can get my hands on.

Romance novels— Never thought I’d get into them, but I’ve really enjoyed some lately. I get into phases where I read a lot of the same genre. I did this with cozy mysteries for a few months, as there a lot of good series out there, like The Cat Who series and Tea Shop mysteries. Most recently, I read a series about a witch who solves mysteries while owning an enchanted bakery.
There was some romance in that one, so I wanted more romantic books and started reading Debbie Macomber books. Some of hers have two shorter stories (like novellas?) in one book, which is a fun pace.

RuPaul’s Drag Race— I’m enjoying this season 16 far, and glad the 2nd season of the Belgian version is out. So glad there is a queen in that version named Chloe, like my name. 😃 (I know it’s a stage name, but you know…it’s still fun for me.)

Right now, I’m on a PS2 retro fix. After I set up my entertainment center in the bonus room of our house, I plugged in the PS2 I’ve owned for about 18 years, bought OEM component cables for 480p, and purchased a controller and a few games that I previously only rented as a kid from my local retro shop.

Down the line, I may want one of those fat PS2 models as I heard they are capable of being soft modded for internal hard drives. I have a slim, and everything still works perfectly, so I’m not jumping the gun on that yet. I previously modded a Wii and an old PS3, so doing this wouldn’t be as hard for me I’d imagine.

Uh… what do you think it is? I’m not even trying to hide it at this point. I probably post about it, like, at least once a day. Just guess.

Dungeon crawler action RPGs. I started with Cat Quest, a perfect introduction to the sub genre and now I’m playing full on Diablo. They’re so addicting and satisfying to play.

Chrono Trigger. It's a game I've played many times in my fifteen years of having the game, but this current playthrough is hitting hard. It's a truly magical game.

Hyper fixation feels like a strong term. That said, I've reignited much love for certain music lately.

Lately I've been hyperfixating on Nintendogs again and I just wish there was more to do in the game because I get easily bored yet I still want to watch / pet my puppies. 😭
