I have a 2ds and a 3ds xl. I use my 3ds xl more often since I like the portability and bigger screens. I've heard that a lot of people don't like the 'stretched pixels' on the xl consoles, but it doesn't bother me at all.
I still have my day-one OG black 3DS, and it’s been through countless hours of ACNL nonsense! I honestly have no idea how it’s still functioning after all this time. But I am attached to it, and use it from time to time!
Then there’s my limited edition Super NES 3DS XL, the European release with the coloured buttons, different from the North American version with its primary purple buttons. This system holds so many memories, especially since it’s where most of my digital purchases are, including my main ACNL town. I bought it on release around 2017, after my original 3DS started showing its age, with lots of wear and tear and even SD card issues. But this one has been such a solid replacement!
Lastly, I have my New 2DS XL white and lavender, which is from a bundle with Tomodachi Life. It’s now my primary system, purchased back in 2019-2020. I’m so glad I got everything sorted before the 3DS eShop sadly closed down. Now, I use it to revisit titles I remember fondly (even during the DS era), or games I never had a chance to play in earlier years.
I have an original 3DS in purple! It has some scratches and dead pixels on the touch screen since it was second-hand, but it otherwise works fine and I've had a lot of fun playing it the past few years. c:
I was really late to the 3DS party (I got it in late 2019 ), but I really wanted one so I can play Tomodachi Life, which I didn't know about until that time.
I own all except the 2DS, small New 3DS and New 2DS XL.
They really went all out with the 3DS designs during this era, but can you really blame them? The 3DS’ design, no matter which one have always had a lot of flaws in them, with the original having a bad charging port, the XL having being prone to the hinge breaking off, and circle pad drift too.
I might be missing some more, but the design aspect of this entertainment device wasn’t really good, and neither is the Switch’s Joy Cons. But at least it’s JUST the Joy Cons for the Switch that’s bad.
my 3dses are my children . i like to collect them but i think im good w the ones i have now. i like pictures so i just added pics of them in the spoiler, you can tell i liked pink back then, and my tastes slowly veered away from that. 3/5 are modded. i do have to say i like the acnl edition the most, but the hinges freak me out everytime i open it, do i gotta oil these things?? same situation on my regular 3dsxl, so i rarely use them t-t. my 'main' is my new 3ds, the size and weight are the best for me. anyway i just like handhelds lol
I have my first 3DS XL, a silver/black one and my first game for it which was Tomodachi Life, still use it to this day. I briefly had a Pokéball themed 2DS w the little button on the front and a SNES style New 3DS XL that I ended up giving to a friend, but I've always remained loyal to my original 3DS XL lol
I have the original 3ds in black, from like 2011 lol, I love it still although I haven't played it in awhile, I mostly use it for Tomodachi life (God I wish they'd release a new one so bad) I'd also like to start playing animal crossing new leaf again since low-key it's the best game in the series imo! My regular DS lite doesn't work anymore so also use it for old regular DS games too
I have all of those 3DSs. My family were big into Nintendo for YEARS up until recently, so we had tons of Nintendo systems. The main one I play on is the small 3DS because it's my favourite and easy to carry.
Sadly, because of how many years I've had it and all the time it's spent in my pocket, the decal is almost entirely rubbed off. A shame, really. My younger sibling has my og 3DS, the dark blue one that came bundled with Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. I gave it to them so they could play New Leaf and because I needed a new one for Zelda-related reasons. [the button that raises the shield in my personal favorite Zelda, A Link Between Worlds, is completely shot and unresponsive. As someone who loves video games but isn't good at them, I kinda need the shield to help me not die.]
