Which animal species would you like to see added to the game?

I feel like lions were all male as a way of mirroring how kangaroos were all female, but... We've gotten male kangaroos now, so we really do need female lions. My only issue with that would be... How would they be unique? The model would probably just be too similar to the tiger model.

No, it doesn't have to. There are male and female tigers, and as I far as I can tell, they both use the same model. They are simply painted uniquely, just like it happens with the other species. Plus, the face features are very different from that of lions. A female lion would need a model for herself due to the lack of a mane, but that doesn't make her similar to a tiger.
Also, remember that bulls and cows have personal models as well, despite technically being the same species

I'm not saying they couldn't do it, more like they wouldn't? I suppose you're right about the lion/tiger part, idk why I didn't look before writing that. The lions (at least in AC) have much bigger noses, and the tigers have more pronounced mouth... Lip... Parts. They also have some spikes of fur on the side of their heads, which could be omitted on a female lion. Also, the tail is another big difference.

Having said that, I could still see the two models being quite similar to each other, given the near-identical stature and ears, so it would really come down to the design and name/phrase of each individual lion to really sell her as "LION."

Also, I just wanna say, it's ironic how many male lions we have without females, given that a pride of lions is basically all females and one male, lol.

oh man reading through this thread everyone has such cute ideas, i've been absolutely sold on those bat villagers!! i'd also love to see owl villagers because celeste is one of my absolute favourites, i'd love to have actual owls living on my island
