I recently watched a lot of friends and really like it. I like how funny the plots are without coming across too scripted, I attribute it to the great actors and ability to portray their respective personalities really well. Which one do you like the most/ relate to the most?
I don’t relate to any of them simply because my personality doesn’t fit in with any of theirs. If we’re talking about the characters we like the most though, I would have to say Joey.
I guess I'd say Rachel, her storyline throughout the show is just kinda about learning to become independent for the first time as a young adult and I connect to that.
None of them are super like me but I'd have to say Monica because I can be a bit of an organization/control freak like she is in the episodes I've seen.
Oh, and I've watched all of Friends when I was young! The show really helped me to learn English, by the way. I was very sad when I got to the final season and
they all went separate ways.
. Whenever I'd rewatch the show - I'd get to the final season, watch a few episodes in it and when they'd get to the story arc of
separation
, I'd just watch the show from the beginning. "Nope, didn't happen!", haha XD Though, it'd always take me a while to get used to their younger looks and how some characters weren't with each other or would pursue relationship with other people.
I remember how I was trying to find ANY info about the possible sequel or spin-off but it never happened. >_> That made me sad, but now I'm glad they never made a sequel or "Forever" type of movie. It would never work. And I know about that show which starred Joey's actor and he played a similar character - I looked it up and I couldn't force myself to watch it. It was too sad to imagine him in some other place.
Though, surprisingly enough I didn't feel bad about watching that movie where Chandler's actor played a dentist with a famous action-movie star (he's bald, I don't remember his name). And the movie was called "12 yards" or something. I thought it was a funny "side-quest" Chandler got, haha.
I have a bad feeling that one day someone greedy will get the rights to the show and they'll reshoot it with new actors just to cash in on the name. It doesn't bother me because there's nothing they can do to mess up the show's reputation but I hope that doesn't happen - Hollywood seriously needs to stop with these "remakes, reshoots". Make new stories, don't just cash in on classics...
