I'm just curious to hear about what Pokemon games everyone is currently playing? Mainline game, spinoff game, casual playthrough, challenge playthrough, speedrun etc. I'd love to hear it.

Right now I'm mostly playing Pokemon Yellow on 3DS virtual console. I beat the game recently in a casual playthrough, but am working on the Pokedex now. A living Pokedex to transfer up to Home actually. I'm also playing Red/Blue on the side in a slight speedrunning fashion in order to nab extras and exclusives of certain Pokemon.

I've begun playing Pokémon Go again. I tend to play for a while and then stop, only to later begin again. :) So my Pokédex has a lot of Pokémon missing. :(

I'm currently playing Crystal version on 3DS virtual console. I actually restarted it because I took such a long hiatus on my previous save file that I barely had any real motivation to continue it where I last left off, though I really did like my team which consisted of Bayleef, Teddiursa, Magby (the shiny hatched from the Day Care Egg) and Chinchou (one of my personal favorites as Lanturn is just so bulky and water/electric is a great combo) But now in my new playthrough, which I'm making sure to play consistently, my team consists of Quilava, Zubat, Sandshrew and Slowpoke (another great combo, water/psychic)

I used to think and play real competitively but now I just play for fun and for the challenge of training Pokémon I never had on any of my teams before. I sometimes can't resist the urge of using my favorites over and over again, such as Ampharos and Nidoking, but I want to explore every option and give other Pokémon a chance. Sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised with how good underrated/underused Pokémon really are, and sometimes I learn the hard way which ones are just no good, but I won't just abandon them in the PC. I put in the effort to train them this far so we're in this together 'till the bitter end, which is what happened to me when I recently beat Emerald with a Magcargo on the team, having been the first time I ever used one. It's an awesome Pokémon but it suffers a ton in battle because of its speed and 4x weakness to water/ground, which are pretty common.

Once I complete Crystal version, all my focus will then be on Brilliant Diamond once it's out this November. I can't wait to return to Sinnoh and rediscover it all over again ☺

I’m currently playing a Nuzlocke challenge of Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee since I’ve never played the Let’s Go games before, and really enjoying it! My current team consists of Eevee, Butterfree, Meowth, Zubat, Spearow, and Vulpix.

I also am still trying to finish the Pokemon Conquest spinoff post-game again, but that’s taking awhile. :)

I'm replaying Pokémon Shield. I love Galar, and I dicsovered that there were a lot of things in the DLC that I hadn't done before that I've been doing for the first time. :)

And Pokémon HOME helps me to get Pokémon that I can't catch in my version, since I don't have Nintendo Switch Online, but you can trade on HOME even with a free account. Especially since the update that allowed you to offer a Pokémon and see people who are asking for it, to see what you're able to get with what you have. Such an amazing improvement that the GPS has needed for years.

I’ve been replaying Pokémon Crystal and Pokémon X off and on. X is actually a fair bit harder if you turn off the exp share and don’t rely on the broken gift Pokemon you receive. It’s practically a different game!

I've been playing Sword and breeding Pokémon there before Thanos that save file and start from scratch again. Finished breeding many Decidueyes and saving an HA Rowlet just in case he gets a new Hisuan evo in L:A. I've been wanting to play Sword without a competitive mindset for awhile. Its really hard for me, especially when it comes to natures but I really want to try playing without stressing too much

I'm playing through Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky right now. It's one of my all-time favorite games. I think I might actually love the mystery dungeon games more than the main series.

currently replaying Ranger: Shadows of Almia! it’s one of my favourite games in the entire Pokémon series and I’ve been wanting to replay it for awhile, so it’s nice to go through it again 😌 I’m very bad at the ranger games but that isn’t going to stop me ❤️

I'm still playing Yellow and working on my Pokedex. I'm nearing 130 of 150 (I'm not using any cheats or glitches so #151 mew is out). Though the last couple days I've been blazing through Pokemon Blue thanks to Alakazam in order to grab exclusives that I can't get in Yellow.

I've played Pokémon Sword very recently, mainly to breed shinies. I've bred almost a full box of shinies with good IVs and apricot pokéballs. I think I'm kind of addicted to shiny hatching. ^^;

I make it a point to hatch them in neat places as well! My Rowlet was hatched in Forest of Focus, my Buneary in Dyna Tree Hill, my Wooloo in Rolling Fields, and my Zorua in Glimwood Tangle. I totally missed an opportunity to hatch my Spiritomb in Old Cemetary, rip. He hatched on Snowslide Slope.

I've also been playing Pokémon Unite on the occasion! It's actually pretty fun. I enjoy playing as Alolan Ninetales and Gardevoir the most, but I'm trying to save up for Sylveon at the moment.

I guess this counts, but I usually play Pokémon Go whenever I go into town.

I've got too many runs going on at the moment. I'm currently running Fire Red (Nuzlocke), Platinum, and White, and also have an off-and-on shiny Tepig hunt going between Black 2 and White 2.

I’m currently play Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DC on the switch. I love the Pokémon mystery dungeon series, and for this one they remade blue rescue team into a better version on the switch. I really like it! I think the stories in these games are so good. Plus they added a lot more stuff to keep doing after the main storyline finishes.

Soon: Brilliant Diamond
Now: Nothing ATM
Not long ago: A Speedrun of Solar Light & Lunar Dark

If fangames do count. Next to Uranium for being my favorite fan game, SL&LD is my 2nd favorite. I know every twist and turn on what to expect, so much so that I decided to speedrun the game for fun. Not sure if the mon I'm using is optimal for the run in that fangame, but it does wonders for me as it has this moveset:

Swords Dance
Quick Attack
Aqua Jet
Freeze-Dry
(A Steel type move exclusive to that fangame for the 7th gym that temporarily replaces Aqua Jet for the time. After that I relearn it)

It has the Refrigerate ability if you're wondering why it has Quick Attack.

The first run around I got around 5 hours, then in the 2nd run I got about 4 hours and 50 minutes, just 10 minutes faster from my previous.

I would of course love to keep practicing at getting shorter times whenever I get to that point, but as of now, I got the AC:NH update and Brilliant Diamond to look forward to.

  • LeafGreen, but my GBA's switch is damaged and will turn off out of nowhere. So I haven't really been able to start yet.
  • Emerald, same problem. I actually got up to Route 102 and spent over 20 minutes looking for Ralts. I caught one and couldn't save in time. Second time I caught one, I was saving and it turned off. I lost all my save data.
  • Ultra Moon, hunting every Ultra Space shiny.
  • Sword, just doing whatever.

Sword. Didn't intend on it at first cause I wanted either Let's Go games for a save to get Mew (I guess Jirachi is nie too but u_u). Enjoyed more than I thought even though it's definitely not the best, however way better than sm/usum games for sure.

Right now I'm currently playing Pokemon Café Remix...

Seriously, I'm playing that until BD comes out. Hesitant at first about BD but I feel it might have a tie-in with P:LA knowing how GF works. It'll be good for nuzlocke runs for its replay value.
