Alright, before you say 'OMGZ THERE IS ALREADY A THREAD LIKE DIS ONE' shut up, and don't post here.
Mine is going to be a little different. I'm going to tell you how I like to plan my team out so... I'll need help in choosing a starter for when I get Platinum on the 22nd of March.
Alright, so I'm not a defensive person AT ALL. I always get rid of the moves on my Pokemon that raise defense and speed and all that and replace them with real attacks. I just find it easier. Don't say it's a stupid way to play, that's just the kind of trainer I am.
I chose Piplup in Diamond version and loved having him. Since it's an all-around Pokemon, I was thinking of choosing Piplup as my starter in Paltinum.
Then, I started hearing good things about Chimchar. He has great speed, great attack. Everything. I heard he becomes a Fire/Fighting type later on so I was also thinking of choosing Chimchar. I had chosen Torchic in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald since Blaziken becomes a Fire/Fighting Pokemon which, IMO, is a great combination of types and very affective in battles.
Turtwig is not an option for me since I hate defensive Pokemon, but you give me one good reason why to choose Turtwig and I might just do so.
So... vote away!
