Who are the best (and worst) horse villagers? 🐴

Papi as my favorite horse. I find him to be severely underrated.

There are actually a few horse villagers that I like a lot, so this is a tough choice. That being said, I'll choose Julian as the best horse villager. I mean, to start with, he's a unicorn. You can't really top that. The turquoise color of his fur is really pretty as well. He's also the smug personality type, which is one of my favorites. He's one of the villagers who's been on my island for a long time, and I don't have any plans to swap him out. Honorable mentions go to Savannah and Roscoe. Savannah is a zebra, and I love villagers based on real animals, and Roscoe just looks really cool.

As for my least favorite horse villager, I'd have to go with Clyde. I don't really like the design of his eyes, and his fur color isn't my favorite either. He also has the lazy personality types, which is one of my least favorites.

Roscoe is easily my first choice for favorite horse villager; at one point he was the only horse that I liked, but over time from reading threads and talking to others about the villagers, I’ve grown to like a few more. I always have loved Roscoe because of how unique his appearance is and I love his design. I like his red eyes and when he gets mad, he really looks mad and his facial expressions are really good .

I only voted for Roscoe but there are other horse villagers I like. Most recently is Buck, thanks to @themysterybidder . I never actually disliked him; I was just neutral on his design. But, I think his design is growing on me and he seems pretty cool!

I kinda like Cleo too; need to see her more to form a stronger opinion I think.

I had Reneigh and she was okay when I had her; I don’t think I talked to her enough to have a strong enough impression at the time. Her design is pretty good! I’m not much of a fan of sisterly villagers so at the time, I didn’t have a good enough impression. But I think, now I can safely say I like her.

My favorite horse villager is easily Roscoe. Like what others have mentioned, his expressions are awesome, especially when he's angry or doing strongman poses. There's a reason I've ran with this PFP for so long; he expresses who I am most of the time. And no, I try not to be intentionally cranky. This cool fan art I found on Pinterest depicting him as a metal guitarist is what basically made him one of my personal favorites.

I also happen to like Buck (thank you Jenny), Elmer, Winnie, Savannah and Colton. I'm not so crazy about Ed or Peaches. While the horses aren't my first choice of villager species, at least one of them is on my series favorite list.

My favorite horse… well “horse”, is Papi! I love how they made an okapi villager and a super cute one at that!

My least favorite is Peaches! Her plus sign eyes are creepy. I get that she’s supposed to be a rodeo clown (at least I think) but that should be makeup if anything, not her actual eyes!

My favorite is Reneigh, as she was one of my first villagers and I like her.

My least favorite is Buck because of his constant mean-mugging lol.

A lot dislike Victoria because of the horse racing attire. She should be redesigned. I agree, it’s an abusive industry. However, for context, horse racing is popular in Japan— so maybe that’s why she’s a racehorse? (Not defending it, just explaining.) They have people dressed in mascot costumes of racehorses at the events, and even serve horse meat as one of the snacks. (Why?! Idk…I saw this explained on a sports channel once.) There’s also an anime called “Pretty Derby” about famous Japanese racehorses that get reincarnated as pony/schoolgirl hybrids. Yeah…so I’m thinking the popularity has something to do with it.

I love Papi!! He slowly became a top favourite of mine over the past few years, like most people have said i love that hes based on an okapi. Also, a weird trait that he gets x’s for eyes when hes stressed, i thought that was fun. I obsessed over getting him in my game, still haven’t had him too long though since he evaded me forever close behind is reneigh! And then colton :>

Least favourite is Clyde! His skin/fur? Colour looks sickly, and his weird eye shapes dont help with that feeling, why are they outlined in grey, he kinda looks like a zombie—

I really like the variety of horse villagers! Julian is cool, but for me he's one of the villagers that so overly hyped that he became kind of boring. I love Papi's design and Peaches' eyes. I adore Roscoe's whole vibe and expressions. Cleo is adorable and Savannah is a zebra! Buck will always have a special place in my heart as he was one of my best neighbors in my GameCube town.

Those are some of my favorites. The others I like and think are cute too. They just haven't grown on me....yet. I don't think any of the horse villagers are bad.

I like Savannah, and I have Colton on my island who I really like. I’d have to say my favourite is Winnie though, I had her briefly on my island and she was so cute and I really liked her personality, she felt distinctly peppy to me for some reason!

I’m not really into the horse villagers overall, but I have to admit that some of them have pretty great designs! Savannah is my personal favorite since she’s the only zebra, and that makes her stand out from the crowd. And of course, Julian is a classic choice—being the only unicorn, it’s hard not to appreciate how magical his design is. As for Reneigh, she’s not one of my favorites. I had her on my island early on, and she was fine, but I didn’t feel much of a connection to her.
