Who is your favorite "ugly" villager?

Villagers like Jambette, Tabby, Rasher, Moose, Beardo, Quillson, Barold etc get a lot of hate across the Internet on various Animal Crossing sites. But do you like a villager that others find ugly?


I personally had the pleasure of having Tabby in my towns throughout the AC series and I gotta say that she cracks me up. I mean, I let her move out the first chance she asks but she has a lot of gusto for one with such a face. She seems based on the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland with her permanent grimace.

Quillson and Limberg are 2 of my all time favourite villagers.
Both are in my top 10.

I dont currently have quillson though as 2 other smugs are also in my top 10 and 3 smugs is a bit much.

But I do have limberg! I let him go once. Was a bad choice. No other cranky lived up to how awesome he was. That's how I knew he was the best cranky in the game.

Prince, hippeux, and cashmere are also all great villagers. They should get more love. Had cashmere until recently, have hippeux on my second island, and am hoping to find a way to fit Prince into my line up soon.

Moose is really cool but there are so many amazing jocks he's got a lot of competition.

I think "ugly" villagers have a lot of character to them. It makes them awesome.

However, to me, the "cute" villagers are extremely bland and boring. Give me an uggo any day of the week XD

I had Al (He's an ape) as my first Lazy in New Horizons. He wasn't bad. He was one of the first villagers I started talking to and interacting with the most in New Horizons. His character and his house (the starting lazy log cabin) actually made it bearable when he'd talk about the bugs in his house. I eventually replaced with having Punchy be my town's lazy of choice though. Punchy has been a personal favorite since Wild World.

I'm don't know how well he counts, but Graham (smug hamster) is another one. I first met this guy in New Leaf and thought he was kind of cool due to his geeky house. I ended up letting him leave my island last fall to change things up on my island, but also, I liked him and his house more in New Leaf.

Rizzo is my second favorite villager, only behind Mitzi. I've seen plenty of people call him an ugly villager, but I personally don't think he's ugly in the slightest.

Someone said they hate Katt's design and I loved her design so I was a bit sad. I love sisterlies that look tough! She was so good to me and then she said she wanted to explore the world so I let her move out. I hope Katt is enjoying her adventures!

It might help to have a list of the villagers that people find ugly, so we can give our opinions on them that way haha

Out of the ones I've seen mentioned here so far, I can say I definitely liked Graham and Katt when I had them.

This is my group of villagers that have been labeled as,um........less attractive by a lot of AC players.I remember one person referring to a couple of them as "horrific monsters".These particular animals have been among the most fun and entertaining villagers I've had throughout New Leaf and New Horizons.

My favorites are Rodney, Tabby, Katt, Nate, Graham, and Mac. I can see how some people can think Rodney, Tabby and Katt are ugly since I too used to not like them at all, but Mac, Graham (in spite not liking him at one point) and Nate I think are adorable. I know everyone’s definition of cute and ugly varies but I never thought Mac, Graham or Nate were ugly (I did think the overall bear design was just okay, but they are steadily growing on me). I never had any of these except Graham but I’d would honestly like to - even if just temporary.

I love Beardo and Klaus. <33 I really wasn't happy when Beardo showed up as my mandatory first camper, but now I adore him and I can't imagine my island without him.

Haha aww look how precious he looks! I was always giving him various glasses when I had him on my island and he still kept going back to those little shades. Also it was weird to go in his house and have all those mannequin heads with the glasses displayed, staring into my soul

I don't like any villager mentioned in this thread so far! But, that's the greatness of the game: so many options that everyone can find villagers they do like, regardless of what others think of them. And all the defenses just show that there's a fanbase (some smaller than others, but there nonetheless) for any and every villager!

A couple of "ugly" villagers I like are Wart Jr and Mac. I think they are both really cute. I want to invite Mac too my island someday, whenever I do a theme that he would fit into xD

Well I don't think most consider her outright ugly, just "meh" to most --> Pashmina
