Who is your favorite "ugly" villager?

It's really difficult for me to know who's considered "ugly" since I'm sure each villager out there has someone who's particularly fond of them. I don't know what the trending villagers are these days, but some of the more unpopular species that I have favorites of would be Naomi (cow), Boone (Gorilla), Sly (Alligator), Rod and Penelope (Mouse), and Ken (Chicken). Maybe people consider these guys cute now though? I think they look great!

Most of my favorites! The anteaters, especially Antonio, Snooty, Cyrano, and Anabelle. Deli, Shari, and Monty the monkeys. Peewee and Cesar the gorillas. Dora, Broccolo, and Limburg the mice. Tipper the cow.

Moose gets a lot of hate, but I adore the little fella. I think his design is cute and rather unique; he's got a lot of character. He was one of my starting five in New Leaf, and he was a great neighbor. And I do really like his home interior in New Leaf as well—I love the detective vibes it has going on.
I would say Nate falls into the "ugly-cute" category for me. He really grew on me when he was staying in my New Leaf town, I got so attached to him it was a little hard to let him go. And Eugene seems to be very hit-or-miss for a lot of people, but I think he's pretty great. He's another villager I had in New Leaf who I became really fond of during his stay, and I think his secret little beady eyes under the sunglasses are really funny too.

I also really like Hazel, Greta, Rocket, Monique, Beardo, Hippeux, and probably a good few more. I think I tend to like "ugly" designs that give a strong sense of personality, or have some other sort of distinct aesthetic.

It is really sad to see your favorites on any "ugly" or "least-liked" list. So many I'm seeing here just in this thread that it's like... People don't like them? Why? Like there are some that I can obviously see why most people wouldn't like them, like the ones with weird facial hair or unibrows or whatever. At least they have cult followings of a sort. But Pudge? Freckles? I think maybe unpopular is too often equated with "ugly" and ugly is in and of itself quite an ugly word. I recently watched a dumb video about popularity and apparently Pancetti is the number one least liked villager. Like, what? She's totally normal and not ugly in the least!

I just reset one of my islands due to boredom and my starter jock is Moose. He's kind of unattractive but also awesome, proving looks aren't everything. I also have Beardo. I think I'll keep both of them around long enough at least to earn their photos. Moose's house matches the new island well, so I might keep him longer.

Gonna go with Freckles, Beardo and Truffles for this one. I love them all and will gladly have them on any of my future islands/forests/towns/whatever Ninty decide to go for in the next AC game!

In fact, I'm planning on kicking Sherb out for Truffles when I find my amiibo cards next. I only invited him back because I wanted to get all the non-amiibo villagers, but unlike Megan, I'm not bonding with him very well.

"Ugly" is pretty subjective. If you're wondering what villager I like the most of my disliked then it would have to be Jambette and those lips. She really isn't that bad compared to other designs. I like most of the frog villagers anyway because they like being out in the rain like me
