Who is your favorite "ugly" villager?

it's always nice to see "less desirable" villagers get some love! i'm pretty guilty of loving a lot of the more popular ones lol.

that being said... marcel's one of my favorite villagers, i see him frequently on ugly villagers lists and it sucks, leave my cute mime boi alone

Freckles! I love her big bug eyes, she brings so much life to my island and is just a big sweetie. I also have a soft spot for Goose and Canberra ❤

I love villagers including Tabby, Rodney, Stinky, Deena, Freckles, (do people think these ducky girls are ugly?) Graham and Mac at least some of whom are considered ugly by others. But I don’t consider them ugly villagers that I like, because I find them to be among the cutest villagers

What is cute or ugly is extremely subjective. There’s nothing wrong with liking who you like, or disliking who you dislike. It only bothers me when people say/ imply there is only one valid version of cute and ugly (a general statement, not directed at anyone in the thread, which is lovely!), which seems to happen all too often in the broader fan community.

I do also think that ugly-cute can make a villager extra fun as well - I think of Barold this way, though I am sure some people may think of him as cute cute, and he just seems really fun and wacky (his house is amazing)

I agree! I don’t have him either but I had a lot of fun dressing him up in HHD. He looks so adorable in with the sailor cap and shirt on and a fork and knife in hand in front of some food .

Another one I like is Gaston. I think I have seen a few comments about how ugly he is. I can see why but I had him in Nl and grew extremely fond of him mustache and all .

Someone said they hate Katt's design and I loved her design so I was a bit sad. I love sisterlies that look tough! She was so good to me and then she said she wanted to explore the world so I let her move out. I hope Katt is enjoying her adventures!

I love Katt's design. She has the same eyes as Cathy from the Cathy comic strip.

Nooooo people find Freckles ugly?! That's so sad, she's such a little cutie! I've had both her and Molly and definitely preferred Freckles. Molly was fine, but kinda unremarkable to me? Freckles really cheered up the place haha

There are four villagers that I've seen people call ugly, but I like their appearance; although, I wouldn't have them on my island, as I have my favorites.

I like Beardo, as he has a fine moustache. A wise old man. I don't think his personality is all that fitting.
I like Benedict, as he looks so concerned about something, it's funny.
I like Greta because she looks like a kind old Japanese lady.
I like Olive for that little tuft of fur on her forehead!

Cyrano! How did I forget about him? I've had him in my Wild World town since 2012, and he's an awesome villager.

I agree, she's also one of my favorites and I definitely would not consider her to be an "ugly" villager. Best of luck in getting her onto your island!

I personally really like Klaus! I don't have him in my town,but i do have his amiibo so i can scan him in whenever i want to. He looks so cute in New Horizons,his little grumpy face is so adorable!

I couldn't think of any "Ugly Islanders" off the top of my head so I had to google them to see haha and I saw a list of the top 15 "ugly" islanders and Pietro was on there he is so cute and sweet I went out of my way to make sure I had him on my island. But looking at the list besides Pietro I would say my favourite ugly islander is Rodney he looks cute I need to get more hamster animals I never had any on my island.
