Why did you start playing Animal Crossing?

I started playing because I was bullied a lot in grade school. I have gone as far to consider the animal villagers my friends. It made me feel better about myself because I was such an outcast during my childhood. Nobody wanted to be my friend, and they bullied me instead of just leaving me be. It made me very miserable. Animal Crossing was basically my escape.

I started to play AC because I was curious about how this game actually works, as I had no clue back
then what Animal Crossing even was. Of course I heard about it, yet I didn't know what you do in this
game. When I got my DS, I was at first more interested in playing Pokemon (mostly Diamond and Pearl,
as Gen 4 was the big thing at that time). Later I wanted to try out other DS games, and that's how Wild
World got my attention. And so I got the game and started to play it. At first I found it kinda weird and
difficult (I had trouble to make bells), but after I while, I felt more and more in love with it. And yeah,
since then I'm a huge fan of the AC series and still enjoy playing the games a lot.

My older brother played it on the Gamecube when I was really young and I thought it was so cool and all the animals were cute so he made a character for me and even though I didn't really understand it I loved it so much. Then we got City Folk years later for Christmas and I really got into it and the same with Wild World. Now here I am and I've been obsessed forever lol. My brother's introduction of AC also brought me into playing more Nintendo games and video games in general

Two of my friends I met on neopets played animal crossing and told me to join this forum with them so I did. I didn’t have a ds or any consoles so I didn’t get the game and just chilled around. My brother got a 3ds two years ago but I still didn’t play ACNL. Then in April this year I told my boyfriend I was part of an animal crossing forum but didn’t have the game and was thinking of getting it. And he was like “oh I have a copy lying around that I haven’t even touched, you can just have it”

So yeah here we go :’)

I remember having (well- I still do) a copy of the Gamecube version and I took it to my aunt's house to play it. I usually played it at home/by myself but she was a huge animal crossing nerd, so I played it with her and my cousins. Eventually, my cousin bought an N64 and got their hands on a copy of Animal Crossing for that platform. I only played it once or twice, but I still remember how happy I felt playing Animal Crossing, and my love for it just sprung from there. I went on to play Wild World and City Folk, and now I can't stop playing it asdfghjkl.

Hi there!

From a young age I always adored any farming or somewhat realistic game. I always played Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, and I played Animal Crossing Wild World both on my Wii and Nintendo Ds. I purchased my 3Ds with the money I had saved up soon as it came out and I originally got it for Nintendo Dogs, however when I saw the ACNL New Leaf commercials, I immediately purchased it. I was a huge fan so this just really excited me, and here I am still playing it!

My mom bought me the limited edition pokemon XD gamecube as a kid, and got me a copy of the GC animal crossing with it. I remember having no clue what to do, resetting on purpose, and hating monique lmao
