Why do most people seem to dislike jocks?

I like Drift & he's a jock. C:
He claims to be the strongest in town! :O
I like his confidence. C:
He is a red frog, must be 3 times faster than the others! xD

Jocks just get annoying because they always talk about exercising, which is something you don't want to hear while playing this a video game.

LOL

Interesting... I had never thought about doing this.

I don't mind jocks :) Maybe they just don't talk as "nice" or "cute" as other personalities so people might not like them as much for that minor bit. Some of them really don't fit though. Like for Boone, he looks like he has muscles and stuff, so it's not odd that he talks about training and working out! But take Rod for example....a tiny wee little mouse.... xD Just looks so funny if you seriously try to picture that in your head.

Peck and Moose keep telling me how muscular their legs are... come on. Whenever Peck says that I look closely at his tooth-pick birdie legs and laughing so much.

I don't like jocks because they are just too "jocky". They always talk about sports and muscles and stuff and it drives me insane. Uchi and Cranky are much better.

Eh, I don't particularly care for the sportiness of jocks, and yeah they do come across as a little dumb. Across the games my favorite personalities have actually been Cranky and Snooty, the latter of which I feel is a bit underloved (or even hated).

I did like Buck and Hambo in the original Animal Crossing, though.

i think i dislike them because i don't identify with their concerns. also because their personalities and the things they say seem more 1-dimensional than the other personalities.

because all i do is lay around and never exercise and i hate hearing about it

nah i think they're cool. ive only had one which was axel, but hes moving so im hoping for scoot. jocks are cute. not very popular though

Jocks are my second favorite type after lazy and Rudy is my favorite ever, he calls me ladybro and I call him cattybro, he comes over to my house for snacks and calls me mommy LOL.

I have Curly in my town and he kinda grew on me. But I mean jocks aren't at the top of my list.

I don't indiscriminately hate them all or anything, but they're not that appealing to me.
Exercise and working out isn't something I relate to...at all. :l And talking about exercise is fairly specific, which I don't think any of the other personality types do. So it just comes off as a weird obsession or something.

I've only had one so far, though (Scoot), so I'll have to see. xD

I've certainly never seen or heard of this dislike of jock villagers you speak of. I think people just have a preferrence towards others.

I will say this. The funniest dialogue from any villager type comes from jocks. Hands down.

Agreeing with this, so much. Especially if you change their catchphrase to "in bed." Which is horrible and horribly unoriginal, but IDGAF, because it makes me laugh.

They're hilarious. Anyone who thinks otherwise, well, you're silly.
