Why do pet-related franchises appeal to females more?

guys don't like slow phased games usually, I literally nagged my bf to get acnl & he was like no. cause he thinks it's children games LOL he even thinks smash bros is childish, so to each his own
I even told one of my girl best friends to get acnl & she said no cause it's boring, since you can never die & she prefers fortnite over acnl
so in my opinion no, it's not some stereotype bs or whatever all these dudes arguing/talking about lmfao

just looking at two people doesnt..... like.. benefit the discussion or prove anything. your personal experience doesn't mean that all the things that go on in society and the way sexism, homophobia and gender roles affect the way children are treated just aren't real.

littlest petshops are for both girls AND boys. there is a massive community and while the majority of people are girls there are also many boys. the old gens especially i feel were "gender neutral" toys. also, i always thought that neopets was definitely geared toward both but i guess that's just me?
anyhow... anyone should be able to play with what they want. there should be no gender exclusive toys. little girls should play with trucks and little boys should play with princesses. there's nothing wrong with that and i think a lot of people get it twisted lol like just let kids have a good time and let them play with what they want! like maybe the toys are targeted toward a certain gender but any gender can play with any toys that they want and people who don't let them are just wrong for that.
