Wildlife Spotting (The Poliwags Cabin)

It's important to keep in mind that these riddles are intentionally difficult because there are 60+ brains allowed to work together on them. You also have until Sunday evening to solve them, which is significantly more time than you would get during a standard TBT Easter Egg Hunt. Most members complain at the start of the Easter Egg Hunt that it's too difficult, but by the end of the weekend are walking away with a full basket of eggs! It'll be the same thing here. All of us on the staff have faith that you'll solve all three riddles by Sunday evening.

Out of curiosity, will the answers to all the teams’ riddles and the riddles themselves be revealed at the end of the event for all to see? It would be fun to see them all and maybe even how long it took them to be solved!

I thought it was referring to Jeremy first since he usually brings the news, lol. But that avenue was explored by a lot of people and it didn’t work out. Same with animal crossing NPCs if it’s a puzzle.

Are there any other Nintendo characters that it could apply to? I only really play animal crossing so im not sure if there’s anybody in Pokémon, splatoon, smash, etc that shows up irregularly for stuff. Or if those games have any bear characters, if we’re going down the route that their use of “bearer” in the clue is a hint.

i've only played a few pokemon and mario games, so i'm no real help here either unfortunately. someone said shiny pokemon earlier which could be a good shout, but i wouldn't know where to look and don't think "bearer" really fits because they don't exactly bear anything.

my only other idea is a bell tree or nintendo direct that happened spontaneously or out of schedule. those bear forum/game news, and an unannounced one would be considered irregular.

I was checking through the directs earlier to see if there were any that were posted by an irregular staff member (Jeremy and Justin usually seem to post them, but there was on that Oblivia posted) because I thought that would fit but I didn’t see anything.

I could re-check them though, click into all of em but I feel like other people had the same thought with the direct.

nintendo directs might work too. i swear there was one last year or earlier this year that was just dropped on us or came as a surprise because people weren't expecting one to be announced. i don't think there are usually threads made specifically for every direct, but i've seen a lot of "what are you hoping for from x?" threads so maybe one of them?

Would those all be in The Bulletin Board section, do you know? I can go check and see. I just searched “Direct” in the bulletin board earlier but was only looking for one posted by staff member other than justin/Jeremy.

no clue. i could try searching for one of my own comments in a "what are you hoping for?" thread because i vaguely remember what i said. they're more likely in Nintendo treehouse.

yeah, it started with the one he has now (i think) then king boo, then bowsette, now back to his current one. i think there might have even been another one before king boo.

could be onto something or we're just slamming poor chris for simply being indecisive.
 
Okay, I'm at the halfway point of looking through videos (the channel has 208 of them), comments, and description. There's nothing so far and it'll only get more obscure, but I'll keep on going.

Also, the comment sections regarding New Leaf had people going mental for some reason. I only really heard of the Animal Crossing series in 2015 when I got the game, so I might be missing something here. And one of the videos had a section of description that made me laugh: "Come join our Animal Crossing Forum to express your RAGE at Nintendo!"
 
If Chris' profile picture is anything to go by, typing in BOWSETTE, KINGBOO, and, SHINECROWN does not work.

There was a Prince one at one point before one of the King Boo ones. But yes, either on to something or we're slamming for sure lol
 
Wait... Chris is pretty active in some Mario games. Is there a game that he rarely plays........?
 
Because the clue came out 2 days ago, we shouldn't necessarily be considering Chris's avatar changing today, that would've put us back 2 days of work from the beginning which is just cruel lol
