Will luck be on your side this St. Patrick's Day?

Last year, I felt lucky when my work announced we could continue working from home and not return to the office unless we wanted to. Since March 2020, I’ve only had to go in once, to pick up some things. I feel very fortunate that I don’t have to deal with an hour+ commute each way any more!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Thanks for doing these fun little holiday raffles. 🙂🍀

Ooh, the prompt is sucha cute one. Looking forward to reading everyone's lucky moments.

I want to mention my cat but I don't necessarily want to associate her current condition with luck (she turned 17 at the beginning of the month and she's really showing her age, I was really worried that I wasn't going to get to celebrate her 17th, but she's not quite ready for her long sleep yet). Sooo something else.

This one is much more geeky but the stars really aligned back during my 2018/2019 Japan trip and I got to meet the mascot Oshawott at the Hiroshima Pokecen. I literally had no idea there would be an event that day, in that location, conveniently happening shortly after I got there AND somehow randomly including my favourite Pokemon????? It was the craziest welcome to Japan enjoy your three weeks I could ever imagine.

I'll ramble more about it under the spoiler because it's a very wordy geek out plus pictures. 😅

So like, pre flying out, I did all my research and stuff, looking for events and things happening in the cities on days I'd be there to plan out must see things and all, including Pokemon stuff because, you know, nerd. And so I knew that that Eevee was going to be at the Nagoya Pokecen when I was there, and also one of the Tokyo Pokecens when I was there the following week, all Let's Go promotion stuff, so I was like cool, I can see cute giant mascot Eevee one of those times (yes I did see it both times...😅)

So anyway fast forward, first full day in Japan I was in Hiroshima, and of course, Pokecen was one of the stops of the day, specifically to get an Oshawott plush because I actually did not have one at this point and it was a priority souvenir buy. While walking in, there was obviously some kind of event going on because there were these little game booths set up and stuff. No idea what it's about so I don't think about it and immediately beeline and grab an Oshawott then start checking out the rest of the store. Eventually one of the workers came up to be and like and started talking really fast. I was just like...( in my very beginner Japanese) I'm sorry I don't understand, so she pointed to the wott, plush, and kind of stuck out her arms a bit and did a little hopping motion, and it instantly clicked what she was trying to tell me, and was like today??? And she said it was in about twenty minutes or so, and I am like thank you for telling me!! So I hung around a little longer than intended (making my friend wait oops) and soon after I got to meet this glorious little ball. LOOK.AT.HIM.

I'm not a picture person, I don't ever take pictures of myself or let people take pictures of me, but heck yes I was taking a selfie in this very moment. But I still don't want to share my picture around lol so have a convenient avatar cover up, and also whiting out everyone else's face out of respect It was seriously such a magical moment and to this day I think back on it and question how this actually worked out.

I really felt lucky several years ago I won a giveaway for a baseball cap from a fairly well known account related to motorsports on Twitter (back when I was more into following that kind of thing). Unfortunately they had trouble shipping the prize to me from the US to Canada for some reason (it kept getting returned to them). After several tries I gave them a US address near the border that I could have my Dad stop by and pickup next time he visited the US.

When I finally received the package it had way more than just a hat in it - they said they threw in some extras for the trouble. It had a couple hats, a poster, a mini diecast car, and my favourite item to this day a checkered flag signed by of all the team’s drivers at the time.

My good luck first turned into back luck which in the end turned into extra good luck haha.

Thanks for this raffle 🍀

A time when I felt lucky is when I won a digital gift card in the spring of 2020 from a live stream giveaway. I used the money to purchase ACNH which is one of the best investments I ever made.

ohh, fun! happy st. patrick's day and good luck, everyone!! 🍀
a time where i felt lucky was passing my math last year (and the year before that) with a 85%! it might not seem like a lot to most people but i'm horrible at math (dyscalculia..bleh) and i'm pretty sure this was my highest mark in math ever :)

YAY! Happy Green, St. Patrick's Day!! I love this day so much because GREEN! Good luck everyone!!💚🍀

I have felt really lucky recently as my standardized testing results have come back and I have gotten higher scores in ALL THREE sections compared to when I took the tests in December!
Math, Language Usage, and Reading Retention! They said I was in the 93% percentile which means that out of all the other students in the same grade as me in the ENTIRE USA, I got a test score that was higher than 93% of students! I am so happy and have felt lucky in school because I am doing so fabulous! Its all because of my hard-work and determination.

I felt lucky when I got Raiden Shogun twice in the same 10 pulls.
Or I felt lucky to raise two baby bettas through adulthood and give them lives they truly enjoyed and deserved.
I also felt lucky when I got the Final Boss Feather a couple years back on TBT. I no longer have it, I sold it to someone who really wanted it.

Luck is something you experience in different ways and I think I showed a broad scope of what luck means to me! Thanks for the raffle yall!

Yay raffle yay fun! 🥳💚 Clover my lucky green beanie baby bear says Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

I was actually thinking to myself the other day that I'm lucky to own some of the games I do, especially my GameBoy Player disc, Zelda Collector's Edition and the 2D sprite Pokemon games. It's really nice having the ability to return to classic games whenever I want.

I feel lucky given how expensive and difficult some retro games are to get. It's important to cherish what you have, whether it's material things, the people/pets in your life or simply the roof above your head 💚💚💚

🍀 Happy St. Patrick's Day! 🍀

I have felt extremely lucky on TBT recently. I usually never win anything, but I won a White Feather and later a Glam Feather in 2 different raffles. They have since been traded to some lovely people who deserved them and will use them more than I would, but I remember how excited and lucky I felt when I first saw the notifications. It was an amazing feeling!

Love all these raffles that have been happening lately, even though I never win raffles!

I felt lucky when I met my husband by chance on Facebook 12 years ago!
More recently, I felt lucky when I won an IRL raffle last December; which was for a sewing pattern and a giftcard to an online zipper shop.
