Will you play in handheld mode or TV mode?

How will you play New Horizons?

I'll probably use handheld mode the most often just because it is more convenient for me but I do appreciate the ability to use the TV.

Switching between TV and handheld mode is the best way to play that game but I am sure I will play ACNH mostly on TV because that game is so pretty so it is nice to watch it on a larger screen.
Can't wait....

Since the game allows multiplayer on the one save file being active (so like 2 people can play on the one switch together ) i will mostly be playing on tv. my friend doesn't own a switch but really wants to play NH so we will be playing together. The only downside to this is one of my joycons has the drift so im going to have to buy a new controller, but then i will have 4 which is greta for multiplayer, so it all works out in the end yay :)

I will most likely play in handheld mode :) I do this already with other games and I prefer it. Only problem is that with time my hands start to hurt and I have to switch to a proper controller. So it wi?l be a mix even if I prefer handheld mode.

I'm a handheld gamer, that's why I skipped City Folk as well. :)

Both! I've played all versions of AC so it's no big deal for me to go from handheld to big screen and back. I'm sure there will be times where I'll want to play in handheld mode(like for making patterns) and as far as I'm concerned there's no sense in letting beautiful AC HD graphics go to waste so I want to see it on the big screen too.

I'll be playing both handheld and TV mode. My Switch rarely ever leaves the dock, but by the time I get New Horizons, I should have a second charger (Hoping I will have this next month) and I'll be taking the Switch into my room at night or early morning when I'm bored enough.

I don't usually stick to one or the other side when it comes to this debate. I don't mind playing either way. I usually play handheld when I'm on the go or if I'm sitting at my computer while playing the game, but other times I just play on my TV.

A mix of both, probably, but as my TV situation is kind of weird, I'll probably be playing the game in handheld mode most of the time.

My sofa is one of those really heavy swivel chairs that are almost immovable, so I couldn't comfortably play TV mode.

I might give it one try, just to see what it's like on a big screen.
I think it wouldn't be as crisp and clear as on the handheld.

I'll play mostly in handheld, but I'll likely be playing in TV mode here and there.

I only ever play Nintendo Switch games on the TV. The Switch has basically lived in the dock since I got it. I don't want to use the Joy-Cons after all of the talk of their drifting issues, so I use the Pro Controller or GameCube controller for every game, depending (GameCube is mostly just for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate). I also just generally prefer having games on the big screen whenever possible.

I don't know for sure yet as I still need to buy a Switch, but I can certainly see myself playing more regularly on handheld mode mostly because I'm always on the go. I'm just stuck as to whether to buy big and get the normal Switch for the extra benefits or keep it cheap and go handheld. I know that I will hardly use the TV option considering my circumstances, but I would just like to have that option open, and then I ask myself if it's worth it.

Rather more hoping they will release an AC bundle, which knowing Nintendo, they probably will.

I plan on playing it mostly on the tv. But when I go to bed at night I'll play it hand held.

I quite miss sitting cozy on the couch while playing AC on the big screen. I'm definitely looking forward to that again. That's not to say that I won't play handheld though. There are plenty of reasons why I'd undock and play. If I'm travelling or want to be somewhere quiet and secluded, I'll go handheld.

I have always been a handheld fan myself so for me that will be my predominate form of play. For that reason I may grab the switch lite instead of the normal switch to save some money. The only downside to that for me being that I won't be able to play with other people but I think you can if you buy more joy cons?

I think a lot of people don't have the cash available for a full Switch + New Horizons game. The Lite will probably have a bundle with New Horizons which may make it an even cheaper purchase.

This ^^ exactly my situation. While I could afford a normal switch my money needs to go elsewhere, the games are already so expensive as is.

I'll play on tv as much as I can. We have a really big tv and it's pretty nice playing with my Switch on it.
I always have to get used to handheld mode again because the screen is so small.

But with Animal Crossing i'm sure i'll use both.
