Would You Want Paid DLC For AC Switch?

I wouldn't call it a scam as such, I think companies have every right to charge for any product or service they see fit. However it's a little bit different if the game can be argued not to be fully complete at release for the sake of charging more for it later. It's still their right but it's anti-consumer, is all.

No, please Nintendo, don't add payed DLC. I don't want so see any paid DLC that includes major things like in the sims. I don't think AC suits that. No microtransactions, because that's the thing that ruined pocket camp. I would love some new amiibo's that give you a little extra. You'll have to pay for those.

Oh yeah, for sure, if we do have to have paid DLC, I would hate it to be microtransactions. Yucky. Even though I skipped many months of playing PC, it occurs to me the unlikelihood of me ever having been able to gather all of the event items even if I had been playing religiously because of how difficult it is to get things without spending money, and I understand that's the idea of many free to play mobile games, but it would be a shame if such a thing were to appear in a mainline console game. Thankfully Nintendo has avoided that thus far!

well they did that to splatoon2 with switch online .. basically the same.
tho i really hope this won't be the case for ac switch. would be heartbreaking.
I hope there will be an uprising if they add micro transactions or paid dlc.

i mean there will be updates for sure but I hope they'll be free.
they will probably re-release amiibo cards and amiibos with some new ones.

tbh confused by the title of this topic .. not sure why anyone would want to pay more and be restricted. late-capitalism is weird.

Paid DLC wouldn't really fit animal crossing that well, i already don't like the micro transactions in PC
Id just prefer them to do another run of amiibo cards

I wouldn't mind it if it would be actual game content. Like a town expansion or maybe extra mini-games. But it would absolutely sting if they throw event related furniture sets behind a paywall, like the ACPC fortune cookies.

Honestly, not really. I'm not really against paid DLC as long as it provides something substantial.. I just think it has more of a place in some games than others. I just personally can't see it being a really great thing in Animal Crossing.. but of course, if they did go this route, I'd buy it.

I feel like in AC they could easily use it as a way to make certain items unavaliable to people who don't want to pay for the DLC and.. I really wouldn't enjoy that at all. Just wouldn't feel like Animal Crossing to me. I have a hard time imagining what type of DLC would feel right in one, too. I know it's not the same thing, but I wouldn't like anything similar to Pocket Camp's leaf tickets in a mainline game.

Something I love about New Leaf is that everyone's town is different, yes, but not different in a way where they have things that are only obtainable behind a paywall.

But hey! They could come out with some super awesome DLC and change my mind. I'd just prefer something among the lines of the Welcome Amiibo update. That was awesome and added a lot of new content for free.
