I know some people say x-mas a lot in text and some says Christmas. So which way do you like to say Christmas more or x-mas more?
I rather to say Christmas instead because it sounds much better then the short way.

I’d rather spell Christmas.

I spell out the full words rather than abbreviations and contractions. Like I prefer *bursts out laughing* over lol, lmao, and XD. Or because instead of becuz.

I don't think I've ever met anyone who legitimately uses "x-mas"

A lot of people says it that way when they are texting and I know it is a weird way.

I hate when everyone keeps say "lol" all the time, its everywhere.

I'm not being rude to you, so what are you talking about. Are you trying to start a fight with me?

I was agreeing with you that I hate the term “lol” too. I know you weren’t being rude. Sorry if I scared you. I just wanted to add that “lol” is rude, that’s all.

To get back on topic, I think they made the abbreviation X-mas out of laziness. Then Happy Holidays to not single out Christmas. I did remember people using X-mas a lot when I was little. Hardly see anybody do it now.

I never heard of people using the lol thing as something evil, so that's why I didn't understand the thing you said.

I've never heard anyone SAY xmas.

Weird.

It's Christmas, as in Christ-Mass. (Mass of Christ)

I guess you can say its pretty laziness, I mean people type it that way because its faster and yeah I don't know why some people says X-mas irl.

I say and type Christmas. I might type words like cause and lol, because they've been shortened logically. I'll never say any shortened words irl though, except mockingly or something I guess?

If anything xmas should be c-mas, then it would make more sense, it's not like we're celebrating the birth of a cross, crosses are for Easter ^-^

I’m pretty much in the minority who witnessed X-Mas within my lifetime. But I never seen that word on the internet until last night. Last time I remember seeing it was when I was a kid, which was a long time ago.

I don't actual say X-mas out loud.. how do you even do that..cross-mas, ecks-mas? Sometimes I write it unless it's formal conversations but yeah.

I'd say (or write) Christmas, but I celebrate Yule, so it's rather a moot point.

In my circle of friends, there are a couple others who celebrate Yule, some who celebrate Hanukkah, and some who celebrate Christmas, so we tend to say Happy Holidays. It covers the entire season.

some people i know do say x-mas. But i try to avoid it. I've seen some people get offended if you omit the "Christ" from Christmas. I know its just an abbreviation, but some people take it more personal. I wonder why its xmas and not cmas anyway?
