This! Maybe it depends on people's accents or where they are from, but I hear "Yanny/Yammi". It seems impossible to hear Laurel or be the word Laurel when the two words have different pronounciations.

I heard Yanny first, but when trying to hear Laurel, I was able to hear it after a few listens because I knew what I was supposed to hear... so both actually.

I heard Laurel the first time I listened to it, but in some cases I can hear yanny if I focus on trying to hear it. Yanny isn't even a word. What nutcase made this crap up?

I hear Laurel and always have. To me it sounds like it starts with a 'L' sound so it confuses me how people can hear Yanny even slightly >.< The 2 words are so different from each other.
