If it really is unrelated, it’s a weird (and misleading!) choice to say they’re our best friends in New Horizons specifically.

I hope it isn’t true, because regardless of whether I like that villager or not, I don’t want a pre-determined best friend. Seems very forced and unfair somehow.

As far as the villagers go, it never said those were their birth months—just ours—so it’s not necessarily a mistake. The selections do seem a bit arbitrary though. I wonder what, if anything, they were based on.

I got Rosie, who was in fact one of my best friends in WW and CF (along with Wolfgang). I opted not to have her in NL just to make room for some new faces. But I'd definitely be happy to see her again in NH!
