It’s nice to see a forum still as active as this one, considering people seem to prefer social media nowadays. I prefer the older days when forums were still popular. Some forums I’ve been apart of have closed down or have very few posts. A Mario Kart forum I was very active on shut down. It was a great site and was sad to see it close.

AAA congrats tbt!!! i remember a few months ago, someone made a thread about how we were getting closer and closer to 10 million posts, and i can’t believe we’re finally here! this is so awesome. 
i’ve gone on plenty of rambles about how much i love this place and what tbt means to me, so i’ll spare you guys this time lol, but i truly love this place and this community so much, and am so incredibly glad and grateful to be here.

The forum software doesn't update that number in real time, so if you were refreshing to watch the counter land on 10,000,000 you more than likely wouldn't have seen it! For the record, we think we know the 10,000,000th post—we do not know for certain due to how the software calculates this number not aligning with how they are numbered in the database—but it wasn't anything exciting. A number of posts were made in quick succession in Basement game threads at that time so we cannot tell exactly which one of them it was.
Technical stuff aside, thank you to everyone who helped us achieve this milestone! And a big congratulations to @Jeremy for establishing and sustaining such a warm and welcoming community over the past 16.5 years.

Yes, I noticed that about the software as well. I'm pretty sure not being myself the 10,000,000 post, even if I posted when the counter was 9,999,999. I'd place my bet on someone from the "Quick, before the mods come" thread most likely! As I said, there were 34 (registered) members online at that moment, and any could have been the one to make it.
But no matter the milestone, that 10,000,000th post wouldn't have been possible without all the people that posted the previous 9,999,999
In a way, I feel like this is a party for all of them as much as for the forum itself. All of us members are winners for contributing having this awesome place running this long!
Congrats to TBT on reaching such a huge milestone! It says a lot about this community and the staff that run the site that this forum is doing so well in an era where most other forums are floundering. From the amazing events to all of the kind and generous people that make up this community (staff and regular members alike), this place feels like a refuge from all the struggles of everyday life. Being able to come here and escape for a bit is something I'm eternally grateful for. Thank you TBT!
congrats tbt on 10 million posts!! this is a huge milestone for not only the forum but every member apart of it. if i were to write how much tbt and all the friends ive made here have benefited my health, well-being, and overall state of mind, then there would very well be a 50-page long essay. the community is just so inviting and understanding that i feel that some of us come on here not only for the usual forum business, but also because it’s so relaxing and we feel so at home. it’s always been like one big family. congrats to everyone, and hope to see you all again at the 20 million milestone!! ❤

Really? 10 million posts? That's a lot. At the time of this post, I contributed less than 1% to the count. Yes, I did the math. It's just a drop in the lake lol.
Like what a few others said here, I'm glad I got to be a part of this community and how it made a positive impact on me, even though I only joined back in 2018. Participating in some forum events, interacting with others, and a relaxing, civil environment makes it one of the internet's nicest places to visit. It's even more awesome how many users are from different backgrounds as the celebrating diversity event showed just that.
Like what a few others said here, I'm glad I got to be a part of this community and how it made a positive impact on me, even though I only joined back in 2018. Participating in some forum events, interacting with others, and a relaxing, civil environment makes it one of the internet's nicest places to visit. When I joined 8 years ago, I had no idea TBT would become such an important chunk of my life. I was honestly uninterested in the social factor and only focused on trading in New Leaf when I joined; I even remember encountering a situation where my precious Kitchen Island was stolen or some sort of glitch happened where it disappeared and I wanted to rage-quit, lol. Even when ACNH dropped, I didn't think to come here; it was on a whim months later that I started trading again, and eventually I found myself checking this forum day and night, upon waking and before sleeping, and during mealtimes, and break times. It filled the hole of human interaction that I was missing during the pandemic. The trades and giveaways made me feel useful and helpful to people when I was out of a job.
At the kindness and encouragement of this community, I rediscovered my passion for art and have started learning the digital tools for painting and drawing. I look at comics and art pieces more critically and this skill and hobby is not something I would've developed without TBT. It's nice to know that I'm not too old to start something new, lol.
If it wasn't clear from my wall of text, I am incredibly grateful for this forum and for the people who keep it going. It has improved my life in many ways and probably safeguarded me from an isolated depression. What a blessing!
