ACNH Screenshots: Do you take them? How often? Then what do you do with them?

Do you take in-game screenshots? Obsessively or only when something interesting happens? What do you do with these screenshots? Post to social media or just feel content with having the screenshots to look at? Do you wish the in-game camera controls were more sophisticated? Do you have tips and tricks for others on making better screenshots?

I tend to take when I feel the urge to or when I see my islanders doing something cute or odd. As for in-game camera controls, I wish we could rotate the camera while outdoors. It's also frustrating when a building or tree completely gets in the way in camera mode, when it actually wasn't the case in game mode. When I played New Leaf, I eventually saved and compiled the screenshots I liked the most into a printed photo booklet that also has screenshots from other games I play. It's nice to have them this way to remember the fun times by!

I take them obsessively. I have to clear out my screenshots so frequently.

I try to limit myself because I don't have a micro SD so have to conscious of space but it's so hard. My villagers can be too cute sometimes. Is this what it's like to be a pet-instagrammers?

You can't? I may be wrong but I believe that, as long as you can take screenshots, you can upload them to a Twitter or Facebook account, then save the pictures from there. That's what I do. I never remove my micro SD card to get to my screenshots. It's too much of a bother.

I take them - they’re fun to look back at and reminisce! I would probably have forgotten a lot of these little moments that made me smile if I hadn’t taken a screenshot.

A handfull of the screenshots I take are to keep track of my town progress and share with others. But most of them I took either because I thought they looked really cool, a villager said something funny, or maybe because I just want to reminisce on them later. I kinda wish I had taken more screenshots/videos before I started developing my town lol. It's always interesting to see towns in their deserted state.

I like to take them to look back on as I progress in the game. It's cool to see how far my town has come. One of my best friends also plays and we send each other screenshots of funny things that happen all the time too!

I have thousands of screenshots from New Horizons alone. They contain a variety of things. I take a picture when there's a conversation between two villagers, something I find cute, something I find ridiculous (e.g. a diary stuck on a terraformed area where it's not accessible without a ladder), a close-up of one of my villagers, taking note of villagers I met through island hopping, completing the nook miles + achievements, the weather, the time of day, and the scenery of my island in general. I do this to capture memories and is basically my diary but very cluttered lol. Let's not get started on the short videos. I have a lot of them as well and aren't doing my storage space any favours.

Very rarely. The first few days of playing, I did take screenshots of almost everything because everything looked so new - and the lighting factor was so impressive for me that I've lost count of how many golden hour pictures I've taken. But occasionally, when I see villagers doing something cool or interacting with one another, I do sometimes take screenshots of it.

I hardly ever share pictures of what happens in my game, but when I do, I have a micro SD card. I know you can post it on Facebook and Twitter, but I cannot be bothered to use my personal social channels, even a dummy one, to post it.

I take screenshots sometimes. Let's say I'm working on an area and I take a shot when it's complete and then I post it on discord to show off my hard work

I actually took a lot more in NL, and never did anything with them. I'm taking much less in NH, and still not doing anything with them LOL. Like <1/week. Usually to show my S.O. something goofy later, and then I forget to ever actually show him.

One of my favorite things to do! I take a lot of photos of the environment and my villagers. They're easy to sort through & upload too which is appreciated. Don't post them often but might put 'em in a digital journal.

I take screenshots a lot especially when my island is still developing! I take quite a few videos and go through them later on just to see the transformation.

But I'm also basically Tangy's paparazzi, love her chaotic energy
