I'll admit I considered cultist too, but I ruled it out. Interested in seeing Runeraider's progression with this idea and seeing if he reaches the same conclusion I did.
I said I was going to read more in-depth tonight but honestly I spent my evening binge-watching half of season 4 of Grace & Frankie with my Dad.
I'm going to divide the player list into several categories to summarise my thoughts for tonight. I'll elaborate tomorrow. I'm in an assessed lab till 4:30pm GMT tomorrow (devices prohibited due to working with certain microorganisms) and I don't know if I'll be online before then.
I feel they are town:

I'm torn between voting Dolby and Ness. Dolby feels like the safer choice. But Ness' tone has felt honest despite how unbelievable his posts sometimes sound. I'll post my vote before I crash.
Tbh, I’m torn. Frankly though, we have a choice between a me and Ness, and really, I can’t see him doing what he’s saying he’s doing as mafia. I do have concerns over him being third-party, but if he’s elected (and telling the truth, and if I’m interpreting him correctly), he is, in effect, a literally invincible innocent child (in comparison to me/Punchy). Due to the value of that, versus hat of myself, who would be vulnerable, I’m really having a hard choice here

(Outside of yourself and Punchy) would Ness be your first choice for president right now?
Outside of myself and Punchy, Ness is the only realistic choice for President. But there’s so much stuff I’m balancing around it my head. I am definetetly confident that he is not mafia. As SK doing this, he would be called out ASAP once the election was over, but he would be doing this as a campaigner. He’s in a weird area where he’s the person who I think is the fourth most town (after you, me, and Punchy) yet there is a risk to him
Ultimately though, I think the prospect of what is potentially a permanently invincible IC Mayor, and I think the voting him may be worth the risk of losing the mayors protection
It is understandable to be reluctant, but the best I can tell you is that electing me gives Town a very powerful president that mafia will cry about.
i guess i phreased it in kind of a weird way. i meant that hes a cultist in terms of mechanics where he can convert people but is different in that hes town alligned and converts normal townies into bodyguards, altough that doesnt explain why he cant be roleblocked. maybe he just shares a chat with his bodyguards if hes picked? that seems way too niche tho. idk
I feel like there could only be a role with a limit on speaking about it if it could be truly OP to admit it. And from the way Ness is speaking that is implied. My mindset right now is if I'm being dumb to even believe this could be possible; or if I should take a risk and put my faith in it anyway.
All will be explained in nearly an hour. I understand your concern, but I can only promise you that there is a very large benefit to me in office. I've already typed up a response to the thing about my role and I will post it almost immediately after Night 0 starts.
The thing is, I'd rather you not claim. I'd rather be in the dark if it means scum doesn't know either. But it's frustrating at the same time.
Well, I've already basically hinted at what I am, so there isn't much point in hiding it. they know I can't be roleblocked, and there won't be much use in using an extra ability like framing or strong-arm, and they might have even figured it out themselves at this point.
Can't say I've been thinking too hard tbh so if you think they can guess from what you've said so far then we should definitely be on the same page.

Trying to lie about the whole thing would be nearly impossible if they were scum. If there was any lies in what they’re saying about being masons (or something along those lines,) someone would’ve have spoken out against them.
Ness
Ness has claimed blue, and if he was scum he would’ve been caught in a lie (like Dolby/Punchy)
Very slight town-leans:
Vanessa
Tina
Vanessa defending me would be a weird thing to do if she were scum.
Tina seems like town. Her reads, I feel, were legitimate.
Null:
Bianca
Bianca is sussing people, which I find is normal for her. Her posts are very simple and short.
Slight scum-lean:
